Pregnant through clomid with PCOS after 3 years of trying!

Hi ladies

I found out just a few days ago that I am pregnant after 3 years of trying (just two cycles on Clomid). THANK YOU CLOMID!!! I am so pleased but also nervous as I know that I am in a high risk (approx 40 - 45% if what I've read on the internet is to be believed) of miscarriage due to my polycystic ovaries.

My baby (or babies as there is also around a 10-20% chance of multiples with Clomid) will be due around November 11th I believe.

Have any of you ladies with PCOS had any extra help in pregnancy to reduce miscarriage risk? I'm tempted to buy some progesterone cream over the internet as my GP is rubbish and not interested in the fact I have PCOS at all.

I already have a 4 year old daughter but didn't know I had PCOS until recently but did have a threatened miscarriage with her.

Anyway whatever happens with this pregnancy (fingers crossed it will be fine) I'm just so happy that I can actually get pregnant.

Any opinions/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and good luck to you all xxx

Congratulations!!

I'm the same too! I have PCOS & endo. Tried for 1 month short of 2 years with 6 months of clomid. Have an early scan booked for when I'll be 7 weeks. Due on 16th November!

Hi there, I have pcos, I have since I was a teenager. I must be a lucky person as I have had no help to conceive my children. I have three and expecting my fourth. The only problem is I never know when I am due as have no periods, so have an early scan next week so I finally know when this baby is due. I think you can read bits on the internet all day long and get worried but its not worth it. Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different, I would just sit back and enjoy it and congratulations x

congratulations i have the same story and pregnant with twins

i have pcos and got pregnant of first round and had baby no;1 in august 2010 . as it was a boy i wanted to try this year for a girl and ended up with 2 babies hopfully one atleast will be a girl as 3 kids are enough for me lol

so went back to my docters for clomid and on the 4th cycle found out im pregnant again . then yesterday went for a scan as i had really bad cramping and morning sickness and they saw 2 yolk sacs no fetal poles or hearbeats as of yet as its to early. but another scan in 2 weeks for checkup

my docters are rubbish . thy see pcos as not life threatning so they dont care. but it bothers me as theres a high chance of miscarriage . my first pregnancy went okay no problems to be honest but now im carrying twins i dont half worry lol .

im due november 5th so only a week apart

TTC

Hey girls,

Im 25 yrs old I've been diagnosed with PCOS since 2007. I've been TTC since then. I dont get my period unless i take provera every 3 months. I'm now seeing an encrinologist and hopefully he puts me on clomid and something happens. Just wanted to share my story and pray for results.
