Where do I belong??

I am 12 1/2 weeks pregnant and I don't feel like I fit in anywhere. The 2nd trimester has women who are a lot further than I am, but the first trimester forum seems to be filled with people who I can't relate to anymore. I'm stuck in limbo!

Well technically, you're both still in 1st tri. They say 12 weeks is basically the safe point but 14 weeks is when 2nd tri begins. I just went back and forth between the 2 tris

Actually my doctor told me that the 2nd trimester begins at 13 weeks. So I only have about 4 days until I am in the 2nd trimester (according to my doctor). If you divide 40 weeks by 3 then you get 13.3 so technically the second trimester is 13 weeks and 3 days

Oh my bad, I didn't do the math.

I was just going by what this site suggests and others such as thebump.com and what my clinic here in MN tells me? No big deal...

ha ha sorry, i've been counting down the days the 2nd trimester so i am very technical. been waiting a long time for this!

Maybe (I am not sure, just taking a guess) why they say 14 weeks numerous places is because when you conceive, you are automatically 2 weeks pregnant because they go by gestational age. Make sense?

i think they are taking that into consideration when they say we are pregnant for 40 weeks (b/c technically we are only pregnant for 38) i dont know. its really confusing how everyone has a different idea. all my co-workers are telling me i am already in the 2nd trimester. so who knows. i think it's basically 13 weeks since that's the best that will divide into 40. either way, i am just happy to be almost 13 weeks! now i need my MS to leave!!
