pyuria-white blood cells in urine

i have to rePeat my urine sample at my docs for the 3rd time tomorrow as i have pyuria present which is white blood cells and from what i can find on the internet it means leukocytes too. has anyone else had this they said i haven't got an infection but need to make sure all is ok, bit worried as stupid receptionist gave me the results and said doc was busy so couldn't speak to them. from googling which i know is naughty , it can be normal in some women who are pregnant or it can be k sign of kidney infection a symptomless one . when i have looked at my notes from booking 4weeks ago i had leukocytes ++ then, sorry for the ramble x

I've never heard of this, but I don't know much. Lol. Good luck though! I hate it when they have to repeat tests.

I had this every. single. time. I had urine tested with my oldest son. The midwife gave me antibiotics the first few times, but since it never cleared up, they just stopped giving them. I never had any ill effects from it and it never happened in my second pregnancy.

I am just about to put in my third urine sample in as many weeks for 'pus cells'. Which the nurse clarified was white cells ( similar to yours i guess) she said there was no infection, but everything on google indicates that white cells can indicate infection..... I guess i have to trust they ( dr's) know what they ae talking about, i had back to back infections as a child, so hopefully all is okay.... I don't feel unwell..... However i do feel like i am starting to live at the dr's with all these samples i need to do lol....... Will let you know the outcome of this test.

At my initial doctors appointment at 6 weeks she said I had white cells in my urine, not to worry but to mention it at my midwife appointment. I couldn't help but worry and did a bit of googling myself. Anyway, at my midwife appointment at 8 weeks and my appointment after my scan at 12 weeks my urine was fine.
Not much help, but in my case at least it can fix itself, whatever it was.
