brown blood? scared!

I just went to the toilet and when I wiped there was a tiny little bit of brown blood. Is this something to be concerned about? I'm not having any cramps or anything...I'm so worried!

Sounds like it could be implantation bleeding and there wasn't a lot of it, so it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Brown blood usually indicates that it's old blood any way.

I had some during my 6 and 7 weeks. I am still doing okay. Babybaker is probably right, but I also had a UTI, and when I started the antibiotics for it, the brown discharge went away. Sometimes you can have an undetected UTI.

Its likely just old blood and is pretty normal so unless you cramping or it gets worse and becomes red I wouldnt worry.x

So I've just got back from the hospital and they did blood and urine test, they weren't overly concerned because I wasn't in pain or bleeding heavily. My hcg came back at 1900, I had it tested at 4 weeks and it was 106. So 1900 seems kind of low doesn't it?

I could have sworn she actually said 19,000 though, but on the sheet of paper it says 1900, typo maybe? because I came out all excited about my number, and then looked at the sheet and got all confused. So I hoping she just missed a zero.

I had brown bleeding in my 6th week for 5 days had a scan and all was fine! They put it down to old blood from implantation! Then again in my 8th week I had some brown spotting but it was around when period was due...had a scan at 9 weeks and all fine try not to panic

I had brown 'old' blood spotting for a coupld of weeks when I found out I was pregnant (about 6 weeks) continued on/of for a few weeks - I was very anxious because of it and had a scan at 7.5 weeks and everything was fine, they did find that my placenta was low. I haven't had old blood since around 10 weeks and at the 3 month scan everythign was fine and placenta seems ok, so for me I think it was the placenta as the sonogram person (whatever called) said that would cause it!

I was always reassured that as long as it is 'old' blood and not fresh flow and not accompanied by pains (although you will obviously get some pains anyway) then all will more than likely be ok - It played with me for some time but I am 18 weeks now, have a doppler at home for times when need reassuring and scans have all been good

Natures just a strange one sometimes!!! Hope it eases for you!

thanks everyone, I will try not to worry to much and get some rest. My worst fear is ectopic and then miscarriage. I'm starting to feel like it might be ok though, it has eased up. I've been talking to the baby and telling it I need it to stay
