i know it's worrisome to take the meds, but it's important to keep yourself healthy. my sis-in-law had a uti in her first tri and her son (who is now almost 5) is perfectly healthy.

They will prescribe pregnancy safe antibiotics.

Haemorrhagic cystitis is an UTI that has travelled up and into the bladder. It literally means "bloody bladder" - and thus you are peeing blood. I still recommend the ED since you're pregnant but if you're happy with waiting for your script that's your decision.

The antibiotics should clear up the infection quick-smart. Hopefully the bacteria infecting you is susceptible to the antibiotic they prescribe. Have they told you the type of bacteria you have?

Do, I was just told that i had a UTI. Back in november i had the same thing and was peeing Blood clots as well.. And just an hour ago i started peeing blood clots again. I have a history of kidney stones and associated it with that. If things arent better by morning I will go to the E.R , My Obgyn did not seem to concerned once i told him I was peeing blood so we shall see. I am very nervous about taking the antibiotics but i know I need too. Thank You ladies for your kind words and help!

Keep your fluids up. In the end everything will be ok. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and you're on top of things.
Keep me updated and good luck!! xx

I suffer really bad uti's after having my daughter. In the space of a year I had 20+ and am now on perminant antibiotics. Plenty of water and take a cranberry supliment to keep your urinary tract healthy
