Where to buy a nice dress for my wedding in 3 weeks

I ordered a dress from Nordstrom. Got it today and I don't like it. Nordstrom is awesome about returns so that's no problem.

The problem is I am getting married April 7 and have no dress!

Where to order from? GAH!!!!!

All ideas welcome.

I'll be 40 and pregnant so white is definitely not required. In fact a nice spring-y pastel shade would be lovely.

I'm a little chunky but not showing (I do have a flabby tummy but don't need a full on maternity dress).

A high waisted dress (with empire waist) is always flattering. Also, maxi dresses, showing or not, are really cute and can be found in a variety of syles and lengths. Here's an example:

Personally, if I were you (unless it's totally not an option) I would try to look at stores in your area since it can be very difficult to tell what a dress will look like and how it will fit. Good luck! Sounds like fun

At this point I would suggest not ordering one from online if possible in case it shows up and isn't all you'd hoped for.... I would try going to Nordstroms (or other similar department stores) and trying on a bunch of different styles and colors. I did this last year for a maid of honor dress, it was fun and I ended up with a dress I would have never picked from a photo online They are all getting i their spring/summer dresses right now and I'm sure you could find something beautiful for your big day Good luck to you!!!

The problem is, we have lame stores here. But you're right, trying on is better.

Just wish I had this step taken care of!

I saw a few on target.com that were cute and they also allow you to choose your delivery method but usually I get things in 3-5 days with their standard delivery.

Double congrats to you JoBean03! I also agree that ordering might be a little difficult with just 3 weeks to go. I bought my dress from David's Bridal. They also have everything to go with the dress like bridesmaid dresses, garter, shoes, everything. They have simple and elaborate dresses. They might even have a beautiful pastel. They have tons of styles and sizes, so no probs there. Good luck and I hope you find the perfect dress.
