BFP after 3 years TTC but bad bleeding?

Hello everyone

I hope you are all well.
Just got a BFP and i think im 5 weeks according to my last ovulation. clearblue seems to agree. im just worried as i got my period on time but it lasted 12 days and was so heavy. i still feel (and look pregnant) but im a bit worried. i know only my doctor can tell me, just wondering if anyone else had this? I'm scared.

Thanks xxxx

What hpt did u use? was that the day u were due af? seems a bit strange to get ur af on ur due date if ur pregnant! maybe u got a false positive? have u tested again since the bleed? Must be very confusing for you x

i used two tesco pink ones and 2 clearblue digital with conception indicator. it said 3+ weeks pregnant. ive had no pain in my tummy which i thought was odd is i usually get awful period pain but my boobs are so sore and huge (sorry) thats why i did the test as i cant stop eating and feeling faint and weak. there was just so much blood, for about a day. i cant imagine anything would have stuck. its just been so long ttc. im so annoyed with my doctor! xx

I really dont know then hun, sorry i'm not any help. I would test again, some people go on having periods all the way through pregnancy so it could be that, go and see your doctor as well maybe they could arrange bloods or a scan. good luck let me know how you get on xxx

just sorry i couldn't help more hun! can't believe your doc said nothing to worry about!!!!!! they should of at least done routine checks??? my doctors were fabulous when i had pains and bleeding, unfortunately i turned out to miscarry 3 times but they ran lots of test's, bloods is the easiest way to check, i would demand them from ur doc tommorow, hope all go's well xxx

I do not want to scare you, but the same thing happened to me in november. I started to bleed right on time right after I got a bfp (several). The ER doc said I was having a chemical pregnancy. I left it alone and waited until the bleeding stop (after 4 days - I truly resembled my normal period). Come to find out, it was an ectopic. Like I said, I do not want to scare you, but bleeding like that is a common sign of an ectopic. Bring this up to your doctor when you see them again. Because getting all of those positives would mean you are most likely pregnant and in the midst of losing it, or you may have a healthy pregnancy, or you may have an ectopic. Best of luck, hon.

Yer I'm pretty annoyed with my doctor now! I'm just hoping that Im one of the lucky ones that bleeds and carrys on with the pregnancy, I'm clinging on to the fact I've had no pains. But if the worst happens it wasn't healthy and wasn't ment to be, all this advice helps and I'm so sorry about both of your losses, no one should have to go through it. I'll update after the doctors tomorrow xx
