Decreased breast tenderness

Im 5.4 weeks pregnant. Up to two days ago my breast, especially nipples were so sore I could hardly put moisturiser on them. Last night I noticed they weren't so tender anymore..I was even able to pinch my nipples!
I woke up in the middle of the night and was almost hyper-ventilating about the thought that I might have a dying pregnancy. My first pregnancy was an ectopic and I'm so scared! I booked myself in for an early scan in a weeks time...feels like I have to wait a year! Can anybody tell me if they've had similar experience..regarding the decrease in breast tenderness?

Yes I have had exactly the same, it depends dt to day how swollen or tender they are, as more vein appeared the more painful they've been, today they are not so bad, yesterday I couldn't wear a bra. Symptoms will come and go so try not to worry x

It seems to be very common that symptoms come and go.

I have never completely lost the soreness in the breasts, but the amount of sensitivity definitely comes and goes. And then today I started having intense shooting pains under one nipple. Making me wonder what fresh hell was this.

I've had exactly the same and I'm 10 weeks today. I only had breast tenderness and sore nipples before my missed period and about a week after. Everybody else is saying they've got sore nipples and breasts getting bigger. But not mine, no tenderness or swelling, nothing at all still a 32c,lol. I wouldnt worry about it, everybody is different. I never had breast tenderness when I was pregnant with my daughter and that was 8 years ago. I'm sure everything is ok. Please dont worry yourself over it. x

Hey, id a miscarriage before and so kind of know how you feel, the other night i was laying in bed and my boobs just didnt hurt, i was really really worried, (to the point of wondering how id tell OH if it was the end) as it seems to be my main symptom, and it was going away, next day same, they where tender but no where near sore, today... ouch!!! seems they just decided to be ok for few days then come back again!

The 1st tri seems to be the ' mess with your head ' tri !

decided now im going to have to have a PMA pregnancy, ( positive mental attitude) no more worrying unless there is real cause to! think good things and good things will happen!

All symptoms come and go. Yesterday my boobs were so sore, my bra was hurting them, but today they're fine!

1st tri is full on with anxieties but you can have a healthy pregnancy with no symptoms, a healthy pregnancy with symptoms that come and go, a healthy pregnancy and be a sick as a dog! you can miscarry with no pregnancy symptoms and you can miscarry and still have pregnancy symptoms. This is because all the symptoms are not the baby growing etc they are hormones and your body adapts to hormones which is why over time symptoms come and go. This is also why when people miscarry there body is still full of hormones so can still have lots of symptoms.

I know easier said than done but try to just take each day at a time and not over analyse your symptoms. Unfortunately what will be will be, but on the bright side try to remember most people go onto have healthy pregnancies and babies, it's such a small percentage that miscarry. x

I know how you feel! I was silently freaking out about it the other day. My breasts were really tender before my BFP and for about a week and a half later and then BOOM. Hardly anything. I would sit there and prod at them.

I think it had to do with the type of bra I was wearing and my breast size. My breasts have gotten a little bit more full and they fit in my sports bra better now so I don't think they hurt as much. Today they hurt more than in the past couple of days though, so I think it is normal for the pain to come and go and for it to be at different pain levels.

Thanks everybody! Your comments make me feel more reassured... I'm really trying to apply the philosophy of "what will be will be", but not doing so well! My rational self knows that there's nothing I can do to change the fate of this pregnancy...I'm scared that if I lose another tube I'll be infertile! And again, if that's the case, there's nothing I can do because the embryo is already implanted! Whether it is on the right place or not...
Hope my scan next Tuesday will give me some answers otherwise there's a risk I'll be going insane before long!
Thanks everybody!

I think it must be very difficult having had one ectopic and lost a tube so totally understandable why you are worried. You were unlucky last time, ectopic pregnancies are nasty but they are very rare, so you're chances of having another are so small. One day at a time and fingers crossed all is going well in there! x

Today was the first time I woke up almost completely without the soreness, and my breasts also feel like they're back to normal size/weight.

Even though there are sooo many of these threads around here, and everyone says it's normal, this is super disconcerting!
