Quick question - spotting.

Just a quick question really.

I am 13 + 4 weeks ( i feel better here than 2nd tri at the minute dont feel anything really relates ) and the exact day that my period is due each month for that 1 day i spot slightly, only a slight brownish colour. Had scan and baby is "happy as larry" so just wondered if anyone could shed any light as to why this is happening.

Not worried just curious

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I think I've read this that 'breakthrough' bleeding around the time of your period is quite common during pregnancy. My nan bled monthly (heavily!) with her fourth child so she didn't realised she was pregnant for ages!!

As long as you talk to your midwife/doctor and they arent worried I wouldnt worry.

I'm only 5ish weeks but I had brownish stuff right around when AF was supposed to arrive. Even though you're pregnant, I imagine your body still does things to clear out old blood thats in there.

When I went to epau at 8 weeks they did say it was something called ectropian and nothing to worry about. Just find it hard to believe its that when it comes at exactly the right time every month!!!
