Suggestions on keeping water down??

I am lucky enough to not be throwing up yet (although I think throwing up would help me feel better much of the time), but I was hit with the nausea at 3 weeks. A couple weeks later, I feel as though the nausea is slightly better because I've learned what to avoid. I can really only eat pepperoni pizza, strawberries, and bread/crackers and ginger ale. Slightly concerned that I cannot drink water! Even when I'm feeling better and try to drink some water, it always gets me feeling really bad again.
I haven't been to the doctor yet, so I have to wait a little to ask my doctor.

I totally understand. I was horrifically thirsty, but now water is making me sick! Sucking on ice chips helps.

Would warming the water help? Maybe then it wouldn't be such a shock to the stomach? Or you could try getting fluids in by having lollies or something like that?

Make up some sugar free jelly (am from UK so don't mean like jelly you have with peanut butter!). It is mainly water but goes down a bit easier.

I use mio to flavor my water. It's safe during pregnancy.

What is that kind of jelly, then? I'm from the US, so the only jelly I know of is the kind with peanut butter

charlie_lael- it hasn't been the taste that bothers me, but once it's in my stomach, it just doesn't react well. Water doesn't sound bad, just feels bad when I drink it

P.S. Annie, I'll be due around the same time you are The doctor will give me a due date soon, but it should be around November 20th.

I'm guessing she means like our Jell-o. My dr said to sip the water, just take one sip then take another one like 15 min later. And I have read dont drink up to an hr after eating. That has helped me.

You sound just like me and I still haven't thrown up but spend days wishing I would. Gingerale has worked best for me but also diluting fruit juice. I had a long talk with my doctor about this and she said to get liquids anyway I can. For a while putting lemons in ice cold water worked but now it makes my stomach turn. Good luck!

Cut your water with fresh lemon, lime, orange, mint, cucumber, watermelon, strawberries, ginger, basil, or whatever flavor you think you can keep down.
