Can I be harsh? If you're going to mc, it won't be because you bought something. It's because your baby wasn't right for this earth. If you want to buy something buy it just don't go OTT and buy a pram or something! Lol they are a mare to store!

My gripe with buying early isnt because I feel it will be a bad omen towards my pregnancy, but because if something DOES happen (which im praying to every deity isnt gonna happen) then Im not sure I could bear to sit and look at a little baby thing meant for my LO

Im so damn tempted though, just one little thing...I just know how much it would affect me if the worst happened.

My hubby wants to wait untill after our baby shower to buy things because we both have big families and this is the first grandchild! We've already got is parents offering to pay for all the nursery furniture which will be a real blessing. Personaly I'm tempted to buy things but not knowing the gender is keeping me at bay at least untill 12 weeks At the moment I'm buying things for myself that I can use during this pregnancy, like good pregnancy books and pregnancy yoga dvds etc. I'm already pregnant so I know for sure I'll need pregnancy stuff even if the worst happens and I don't need baby stuff That way I still get to buy things for this pregnancy and use them in future pregnancies!

I wouldn't say buying early is tempting fate because what ever is going to happen, is going to happen.

I bought stuff as soon as I got my BFP. But had it stored away somewhere where I didn't see the bits just incase the worst happened.

It's always good to buy bits here and there IMO. Saves buying everything in one go!

I have a little box that I have been filling up really slowly since a week after I found out I was preggers. I buy just a couple of things each week. It is my way of keeping faith. (And due to HCG levels its been touch and go for a couple of weeks with me) And if the worst does happen, I KNOW I will have a baby eventually, so everything I bought I will go to use. My hubby doesn't want to buy anything big till after 12 weeks and doesn't wanna buy a whole lot till after showers.
