Low Beta and sucessful pregnancy

Hi ladies,

After almost 2 years of trying, I finally got the call today saying that I am in fact pregnant. The clinic was worried however because I had low beta numbers. I didnt asked what they were because to be honest I was in total shock, and will be going on tuesday for a second blood test.

Has this happened to anyone and they are still pregnant?

Im scared beyond belief....

You may not be as far along as you think. What were your levels and how far along do you think you are? xx

Could you call? Are you going back to get more blood tests? One single beta doesn't mean much at all. How fast they are doubling is all that matters hun, they may be doubling fast! Also, they say when you're pregnant with a boy your beta is lower.. so maybe it's a boy! x

thanks ladies for all the info! its pretty overwhelming espeically since were been trying for 2 years and have spent thousands on fertility.

Im going to call tomorrow to see what the numbers were, by the time I thought to ask them they were closed for the day. I go back on tuesday for my second beta....im praying that its good news. Fighting infertility has been one of the hardest things I have gone through....now to potentially have a chemical is just crazy..

15DPIUI is pretty early, so understandable that you should have a low beta. It's the rise that counts. You'll be fine. Congrats on the BFP after 2 years of trying. I know what it's like!!

I am in the somewhat same situation. I went and mine were 5.56 then 2 days later 10 then 2 days later 48 but dr is saying progestrone is very low and he doesn't think its a healthy pregnancy. So I am worried I had bleeding already for 6 days like a light period and my levels went up even after the bleeding.
