Anyone else suffering from insomnia??

I know I am supposed to be exhausted but I am wide awake! This happens to me almost every night. During the day I am constantly yawning and have little energy but at night I just can not fall asleep! Every position feels uncomfortable and the longer I toss and turn the wider awake I become. Once I actually do fall asleep I am out and have a hard time waking up, so thats not a problem, its just the falling asleep part. Is this happening to anybody else? Is there any solution or sleep aid that is safe to take?

Im falling asleep OK but am waking at 2:30-3am most mornings, then sleeping really lightly until 5:30-6am... and then waking again.

Really annoying as I normally sleep 11pm- 7:30-8am no problems at all !!

Rrrrrr !

Only 5 weeks gone too... I can imagine it will get worse when I get a proper bump and cant sleep on front.

Still overjoyed though.. even with disturbed sleep x x

Don't want to upset anybody but I'm 12 weeks and I still have this problem

I have no problem getting to sleep because I'm soo tired, yet if my OH turns over delicately in his sleep and disturbs me I blame him and even get teary when I can't get back to sleep.. Poor OH

I'm the same way, if I am exhausted and sleep for only an hour, I am UP for HOURS after that even though I'm so tired!

Your not alone. I often feel exhausted/tired during the day and have about a 3h nap from 1-4pm, but on night (10pm) im wide awake!! Not even sore eyes! I have tried not sleeping during the afternoon which was hard in itself then hopefully ill be 'more' tired for night time... but that didnt work either

I've had problames getting to sleep, mostly cos I'm too warm and my bbs hurt whatever position I lie in. I've tried to just sleep in a sports bra and opened a window, and that seems to help me drop off, but as soon as I have to get up to go to the loo, I have problem getting back to sleep again. I don't have a solution for that. I tend to use the extra time to think about how amazing it'll be when I'm a mum, and that usualy cheers me up a little. Sweet dreams to you all xx

Glad to see i'm not alone in this! I finally fell asleep around 4:30am and had to be up by 7:30 for work. Also, my morning sickness kicked in for the first time last night, so that made the night even better! Actually what triggered it was I decided to try and drink some tea to help me sleep and my body did not like that!! So needless to say, i'm tired, cranky, nauseous, and just want to feel normal again!! (Though I'm overjoyed that I get to be growing a lil' baby!)
