11+4 took a pregnancy test...

and the line is REALLY dark. ive taken some over the last few months, and they were all dark, the same colour as the control line, however just now (with 3rd pee of the day) i took one, as my symptoms are really going and i just wanted to reasure myself, and the purple dye was sooo dark on the line it was crazy.

do tests keep getting darker the further along u r?

in general terms yes, cos there's so much HCG to attach to the marker (dye). I think some tests can get confused by very high levels of HCG though and so don't always show a really dark line.

They get darker in the 1st tri and then gradually lighter after probably 14 week as HCG levels decrease in the 2nd tri.
