Tmi.....brown bleed freaking out!

Hi ladies,

So I'm approx 4weeks from when I think I ovulated and 6 weeks since the first day of my last period.

My doctor has me scheduled for an early scan next week to check on things because I have a possible septate uterus they wanted to check out and make sure everything is okay.

I had a 2 very clear positive hpts on march 16th after my period being 4 days late and another positive test at my doc on march 19. I also had blood taken on march 19 and all the results came back really good I was told with my hcg levels being good (forget exact #).

In the early couple weeks I was havinga lot of AF like cramps but those stopped about a week ago.

Tonight for a few hours I was having some sharp, pin stabbing like pains in my abdomen and just general uncomfortableness. The stabbing pains came and went and were not constant and werent horrible, not even as bad as the cramping i had after i found out i was pregnant. I passed it off as nothing but when I went to pee about 30min ago I had a panty liner full of brown blood and some drops even fell into the toilet (sorry tmi!).

I'm now freaking out about possibly miss carrying and I don't know what to do.
I'm stopping myself from going and living on the toilet to keep an eye on if anything changes or if there is more there.

In the past, few years ago I had a suspected miscarriage (never confirmed + pregnancy because I wasn't trying) and just a couple months ago I had a suspected chemical pregnancy (again not confirmed + pregnancy because I never took a test, just based on symptoms)

Right now I'm just feeling some uncomfortable bloatedness feelings in my abdomen but no more pains.

What do u ladies think? What could this be? Miscarriage?

I really am freaking out. Called my oh at work crying.

Appreciate any input, good or bad. (I'm not one who likes the false reassuring "it'll all be fine, it'll all work out")

Hi,
Brown blood is old so thats normally a seen as normal in early pregnancy. I had some brown discharge Sunday and Monday morning but there was a tiny bit of red Monday so I am having a emergency scan today which I am nervous about.
My nurse said if I starting bleeding heavily and the pain got worse to go to a and e.
It is the pain I would be most concerned with but they maybe related to your uterus streching.
I think the best thing you can do is contact your midwife or doctor. Just because you are bleeding does not mean its the end so best to be positive.
Hope all goes well try not to stress to much

Hi hun

sorry this has happened, its such a worrying time! ive had brown bleeding every day for 3 weeks! just the same as yours. ive had a scan and bloods done and you should push your gp for the same. i was told not to worry unless it got heavy or was accompanied by painful cramping. Your gp really does need to know about this though, but dont worry, its not uncommon xxx

You should have it checked, especially if the cramping is still there and the bleeding isn't stopping. Go to the emergency, they should give you a scan to see if baby is in the right place.

Whatever you do don't sit on the toilet, you should try to move as little as possible, put yourself to bed rest. Do a HPT to see if the test line is still very dark to give you some peace of mind. I went through miscarriages at both 5 and 6 weeks, the blood always turn bright red very quickly with cramping and clots. Also for me the HPT test line always become lighter before the bleeding started.

Fingers crossed for you!

I don't understand why she shouldn't be on the toilet, and tbh, if lilbean is miscarrying, then moving as little as possible really won't make any difference. I also disagree with doing a hpt, the result won't tell you anything other than the fact that there is hcg is your system. How dark it is, has no bearing on "how" pregnant you are.
I'm really sorry you're going thru this lilbean, any bleeding in pregnancy is terrifying, but the only way you'll find out what is happening is by having an emergency scan so you need to contact your doctor or go to a&e. My spotting started at 8w6d, saw the doctor that night who assured me that spotting and some cramping was normal and most likely everything would be fine, she booked me into epau for the next morning where I was told by the nurses and midwives again is was normal, but the scan showed no heartbeat and baby measured around 7w. The next day (9w1d) the actual miscarriage started, and yes, the blood did turn red very quickly and the pain was unreal, so you will know if you are physically miscarrying.
For now tho, you just need to be seen by someone. I'm keeping my fingers xd for you

Lilbeanhoping, I have exactly what you have although my emergency scan was last Friday to make sure the baby was not ectopic because I had cramps and brown discharge, I have had brown discharge with some cramping feeling for a week and a half now.. My dr told me to rest as much as possible because my body might be trying to miscarry and the less you do and the more rest your body gets the better the babies chances. I go for another scan tomorrow to see if the baby has a heart beat and if the isn't one the dr said the pregnancy didn't take.

I am in a similar situation like yours. Last night I was at the ER because of some light, very light spotting w/ slight cramping. I am so early in my pregnancy that I don't know if I really am 4 weeks or not, but they estimated that. Long story short, they couldn't see anything on the scan, and said I may be earlier then they think, and set me up with an official ultrasound for tomorrow morning.

You should go to the ER and have them do a scan because you want to know if your baby is where it needs to be. I was diagnosed with possible ectopic last night, but am praying all goes well for tomorrow.

No matter what happens, please stay optimistic because what is meant to be, is meant to be. Don't stress, just enjoy the fact that you are carrying precious cargo right now. that's what's keeping me positive.

P.S. this may help you stay positive: This happened with DD and she is a perfectly healthy 18 month old baby! The doc even said my HCG levels were low and didn't know if he could see a yolk sac on the ultrasound... I was between 5 and 6 weeks then so please keep the faith girl!

I hope everything works out for you I am getting my ultrasound tomorrow, so I will find out if it is ectopic or not....

Thank you I am a lot more calm today than I was the day before my last exam.. Although I am still worried everything happens for a reason and I just wish it could have gone as smooth as my sister ( were twins) although I don't know if she could have handled losing a baby
