Hip/bum/pelvic pain???

Hiya ladies just wondering if anyone else is having pain in the general area of their hips, bum and pelvis?
It's hard to describe properly but I've been having really bad pain mostly centred in my left butt cheek area. My hips make a horrible clicking noise when I walk or move (I have had joint issues before but never heard anything as bad as this)
If I go to get up from lying down it actually feels like only half my pelvis is turning with me and the other half is slow to follow and clicks really horribly.

It's worst in early morning and in the evening especially if I've been particularly active or inactive for the day. In the past week I've been trying to strike a balance so I'm not in as much pain.

My sister suffered badly with SPD in her last pregnancy to the extent that she was on bed rest and needed crutches to get around her house but that didn't strike til much later. From doctor google my symptoms sound kinda more like Pelvic Girdle Pain to me.

I have an appointment with the hospital in about 3 weeks so hopefully I'll find out more then but was just wondering if any of you ladies are having similar problems so we can moan together lol

Sorry, I don't know anything about this, but I would recommend that you look into the snoogle pregnancy pillow, its supposed to give a lot of relief to your hips and back. Maybe the problem is just uncomfortable sleep? I know I have been incredibly uncomfortable so I just ordered one for me. I hope you find some relief soon!

Thanks for the replies guys. I've been sleeping with a pillow between my legs since it started and find it helps a bit especially if I have my knees brought up as far as possible but then I get a cramp in my legs haha

Must look into a proper pregnancy pillow because I know the normal one I'm using isn't long enough.

I will be following this thread as I'm suffering the exact same pain/symptoms as you. The pain started right from the beginning and it's getting worse, and my pelvis is making some awful clicks when I move.
This is my second pregnancy, I didn't have this pain with my first.

Sorry I can't offer any advice as I don't know what to do myself, did you go to the doctors? x x

*I'm 11weeks 5 days

It's horrible isn't it!!
I was at my doctors last week but totally forgot to say it to her I was too busy worrying about when I'd hear from the maternity unit haha

I'm thinking of going back to her again to make sure it's normal but I'm just worried that I'll book an appointment and feel fine when I'm there

I might try to ride it out til I'm at the hospital in a few weeks!

Yes, I am suffering with this at night, bad pains down the outside of my thighs, and a bit in my bum cheeks too. I think its pelvic girdle pain. It's fine during the day though. I have also been sleeping with a cushion between my knees but I'm going to look at the pregnancy pillow.

One thing it may be is SI joint dysfunction from all the stretching and growing inside of you the SI joint can get a bit unhinged and since it's a weird irregular joint it is hard to pinpoint where the paint is and can feel like its the hips or the butt, and it actually refers pain into the buttcheek as well.

Definitely try sleeping with a pillow btwn your knees to put less stress on the SI joint and when getting up or lying down or changing position gently contract your abdominals to help hold it in place so it doesn't get out of whack.
