Not sick and scared to death!!!

Hello All - I have been really sick this whole pregnancy, I am only about 8 weeks. But I woke up today feeling pretty good and have not even gagged after over an hour out of bed.

I should be happy but I am scared because I don't 'feel pregnant' adn I feel so dif than I have every morning for the past 6 weeks. I am going ot call my OB when they open, but I have a feeling they are not going to tell me anything b/c I am not yet established and my first appt is not until next week.

Is this normal for all of the sickness to just go away like that, so easily and suddenly? I have not had any cramping discomfort or bleeding or anything. I am really scared and don't know what to do. My usually very supportive husband is telling me I should be happy I feel good and just doesn't understand.

Hi Angeev. I understand.

I had nausea in the early weeks. When I woke up the day I hit the 9-week mark, all of that just magically disappeared. I woke up and felt.... good. I was glad to feel good but also nervous. Because the nausea in a weird way was reassuring.

It's hard not to panic when things change so rapidly, even if they change for the better. I'm guessing that both of us got to the point where our bodies got used to the hormone changes, or the hormone changes leveled out or something. Lots of ladies in the last weeks of first trimester feel good all of a sudden, so I think we're in good company!

Oh, Lucyminx, what a drag!

My sister threw up every morning, the entire pregnancy, with all three sons. I haven't thrown up once. So of course we wonder if it's a girl... Just fun to ponder. Mostly I just feel lucky.

It's totally normal for early pregnancy symptoms to come and go. If you have a good spell where you aren't feeling sick for a while, it doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Don't worry, the sickness comes and goes, I'm actually very happy when I'm not throwing up all over the place!! but i do have other symptoms that remind me that I'm pregnant like heartburn, cramps sometimes and well my boobs that hurt!! but call your OB just to be sure.

Totally true statements that symptoms come and go. Mine did and I too like you worried just because a couple of symtoms are gone doesn't mean you don't have others in its place, just relax and try to stay calm your LO does not need the unwanted stress.....

I'm only 6 weeks, but I always feel "better" when I'm having those days where I'm super nauseous and whatnot...at this point it's the way we feel connected to our pregnancy- there's no "bump" or baby moving that we can feel yet. But I have a day here or there where I totally feel almost normal, and worry slightly... (I got sick veeeerry early on).

I have heard that around 9 or 10 weeks- varies for each woman- most of those terrible symptoms just tend to die off or stop. My best friend said with all 3 of her pregnancies it was just like the nausea switch would just turn off suddenly.

THANK YOU ALL! I cannot stress enough how much better you have made me feel. I talked to an on-call nurse through my insc, and she was talking ER ultra-sounds which scared me, but I deceided to just relax until I talked to someone I am more personal with.

My OB said pretty much evrything you ahve all mentioned above, it does just come and go and not 'feeling pregnant' is no cause for concern but that she does understand why I reacting this way.

Thank you again and I wish you all a gret day and happy healthy pregnancies - wiht as little puke as possible. Now I gotta get to work!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
