Implantation bleeding or my period? Help!!!

I have been getting regular periods now for a long time. My cycle is a 28 day cycle. last month (feb 2012) I realized that my period lasted for 4 days as a posed to 5 days. March (2012), my cycle started on the 11th, spotted with light bleeding. 12th it was pretty heavy, on the 13th it went completely off; (had intercourse that night)..... on the 14th, it came on very faintly (spotting only to the point of when I wiped)...then it went off. the 15th (had intercourse, spotting occurred and lasted for an hour)....Then It went off. and has been off since 8am. this is not normal for me. WAS THIS A PERIOD, OR IMPLANTATION BLEEDING??? I LOOK FORWARD TO ANY IMMEDIATE RESPONSES...THANKS IN ADVANCE....As of now I have been experiencing sore/tender breast, tired and sleeping ALL the time...some discharge (on & off).

Was the 11th when you were supposed to start, or was it early? Also, if it was implantation bleeding on the 11th, then that was 19 days ago. You'd probably be able to test.

Thank you for responding, i have been trying to get answers on other sites for the past 2 weeks and no response, so thank you very much....my period for 3/11 was when i was due to start, but usually i will bleed heavy, with clotting and all for the next 2 days...(12 & 13th), but nothing like that happened...I have been also experiencing slight cramping in my abdomen, like my period is coming on...I havent tested because I am due for my period to come on; on 4/8...so i guess i am waiting to see if it shows up before testing...I seem to cant keep my eyes open from 12 noon to 4 or 5pm. I already have a 5yo boy, and cant stay up long enough the pass 2 weeks to do anything with him...dont know what to think right now...

Implantation bleeding from what I have read, is very light in color and looks like a semi period...for the week of the 11th, I only worn a pad 1 time and that was the 12th. then it went off by the 13th...and from there I only knew it was there when I wiped. One day, when I was discharging I saw very little specks of blood, with it....but that was well after my period had (well so called period) had gone off....Well guess i will have to wait til the 4/8 to test...Didnt think I could test now, because thought I would get a neg reading...IS THAT TRUE?

If that was implantation bleeding, you would def get a positive hpt right now. You wouldn't have to wait at all because you would be "19 days late". I got a positive result 5-6 days before I was supposed to get AF. So I would test!! If BFN, it's probably due to insufficient uterine lining caused by low progesterone. I'd sometimes have a week long AF, sometimes very light that lasted two days. I had low progesterone caused by high prolactin. I had implantation spotting at 6dpo, and it was very very very minimal. It was light brown cm. I would have missed it if I wasn't looking.. Some women do have red implantation spotting. Also, BFN doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. You could have conceived this cycle (after the period). But I would test now so you know because it would save a lot of confusion xx

it might not be implantation bleeding, it might be a breakthrough bleed- this bleed occurs when your period is due, its like a light period or just spotting, it can vary from very light brown or pink tinged cervical mucus (even accompanied by cramping) to pink/darker redish rusty coloured blood thats like a light period. Anything thats not like your usual period needs to be invistigated if you have had unprotected sex because you could be pregnant :-) either that or something stress related or something thats thrown your body out of sorts has caused it.

Thank you Taylor & Gmansmom, I will go and test today if not this weekend...And Taylor that's exactly what it was very faint light red color, only to be seen when I wiped. It lasted 2.5 days...would say 3 but it really wasnt a full 3 days...I had been experiencing lots of discharge for 1.5 weeks now...and since this week has come in, I am now seeing very little. at times I notice its there from the moisture of it, when i wipe...breast are not as tender this morning as it has been the past 1.5 weeks...but what has remained is the sluggishness, after or at 12noon...I am sorry if i have my doubts, but would hate to test, and be disappointed...Once again.

Then it very well could have been IB. If so, you would have a dark positive by now. I hope you do get your BFP, but if not, that doesn't mean you can't be pregnant! Have you been trying this "cycle"? x

what is break through bleeding???...I didnt go through any of this with my son, no symptoms at all, just a missed period...so this is strange to me. but could you tell me what break through bleeding is? thank you

@ Taylor, Yes we have been trying...really trying on the days ive been ovulating (specially)...my period for feb only lasted 4 days as a posed to 5 days...we have not been using protection for the reason of wanting a child...but I have had other times when i thought i was and i wasnt...but the symptoms i have now are not like the other times, when i thought i was...
