Have you tried Chlorpheniramine Maleate (Chlor-Trimeton)? That is supposed to be OK in pregnancy. I have really horrible allergies, and that is the only one that really works for me. There is a 12 hour extended release on amazon that I use. You can't buy the 12 hour one in stores.

Just googled that, Bunkie. It's a pregnancy category C, but specifically mentions not using in 3rd trimester, so maybe it requires more research.

By the way, I do see my midwife tomorrow so should have a chance to ask about allergy stuff.

I was told to avoid the Claritin. I'm going to start the homeopathic drops I have and my midwife is going to look into some other homeopathic things for nasal spray and eye drops. She also recommended nettle. She also recommended saline and could tell I was rather skeptical which is why she's looking into the more powerful stuff. I'll start the homeopathic oral drops and wait to hear back from her on the more powerful stuff.
