Quick Question?

Hi All
Just a quick question.
After you had taken your HPT (in some cases more than 1) and got your BFP did any of you then also have a sample sent off via your GP's too? If so when you called back for your results did they tell you over the phone or did they make you an appointment with the nurse/GP first?

Gp never asked me for one, i think HPT's are better than doctors tests these days, i told my GP ihad taken 5 tests, all + and he was like ok no worries or need to do urine based on that lol

My GP didn't bother with a sample either, she said 2 or more positives on an HPT is enough!

With my insurance my GP had to do the blood test before I can be refered to an OB. They called me with the results and then made an appointment to get my referal.

My clinic had to confirm it before they would make me an appointment, and they told me right there in the lab. There was like three lab girls standing around the stick to see if it was +, it was kinda cute

Looks like it's different for US and UK then- no one I know in UK has had doctor routinely confirm a test.

I'm in the UK and my doctors surgery need it confirmed by the lab before they would book me a midwife appointment.

Handed sample in on the Monday morning and called up Wednesday morning and they said over the phone it was positive. Then I booked my midwife appointment over the phone.
