6w4d ultra sound plz help!!!

Okay so my lmp was feb 17 going by that I'm 6w5d going by my o date I'm 6w1d..

I went to the er Thursday due to pink spotting well they did a bag ultra sound and said baby measured 0.6cm and it was just a sac.. My hcg was 3893..

Well yesterday I went back to my dr for a repeat of betas and vag ultra sound.. Bc I'm still been spotting brown since Friday..

On the ultra sound she saw a sac AND a yolk but telling me I have a 50/50 chance of mc bc I'm spotting and there is no heart beat!!!

So she told me just wait on the hcg results if they high we will do another ultra sound Monday to see if we see a heart if it's low I'm mc..

Well still waiting on the results.. Last night I had two light red Medes with slimmy cm when I wiped happened twice. Thinking I would start my period I put a pad on well next time I peed it was dark brown and thick this time I peed it's light brown and just a little bit...

I have no idea if baby is growing like it should r am I miscarrying!!

I was told the same thing and have had brown discharge for two and a Half weeks, but I was just measuring small just rest as much as possible and stress made me bleed so we did go back and see the heart beat, I talked to my mom and they say 50/50 because then they can't be wrong if something does happen. My gestation sack measures 1 day before my ovulation date so your baby might be a couple days different then what you think which could be why there is no heart beat

If it's any consolation I had a miscarriage three years ago and I started red spotting late on the Saturday afternoon and had a full miscarriage by Sunday lunchtime.

Your situation sounds very different - by Sunday morning it was obvious what was happening.

Good luck.

Thank y'all!! I think that a miscarriage wouldn't take this long to occur ... Usually one day it's done and over with... Right??

So how many weeks were u when u saw the baby??

The first one we went to I was 5 weeks wen saw the sack and a yolk, the second time we went in i was 5 weeks 6 days and they said the heart had just started beating and if I had come earlier it probably wouldn't have been there to see, the next time I go in I will be 7 weeks 4 days but as long as your not having cramps or lots of blood your baby is just further behind then you think. At my first scan they thought I was 7 1/2 weeks going off my lmp but they aren't going by that anymore because I have long cycles. I ovulated around the 18th of February.

I had brown spotting right on 6 weeks with this pregnancy, which lasted for 4 days. I was lucky and saw the heartbeat at my first scan at 6+3 and the baby measured 6+1. But at your stage every hour makes a real difference to what you see. I remember there being a thread when I was in 1st tri asking about baby measurements at 6 weeks, and they varied by 2-3mm in some cases, I will see if I can find it. They grow so quickly it's unbelievable. I think they may be saying 50/50 without a heartbeat because I believe once they see one the chance of miscarriage drops. Beware though, I was given a leaflet when I was leaving my scan titled 'Threatened Miscarriage' and I didn't realise what it meant until I was home again, so I couldn't ask any questions! Although I think it is the explanation they give for most unexplained bleeding.

Ya my dr was concerned than asked about my cycles and she said it's hard to tell so they just measure my due date off the size of the sac and the fetal pole. And if your like a day early the heart beat won't be there which is crazy to think about. I think your baby is fine, I wish dr's cared more sometimes.

Thank u love cookies- that helped a lot.. If I go by my o date I would only be 6w1d.. So I dunno but is it true at 6wks u should have more than a yolk and sac?

Finally/ I totally agree I'm thinking about switching drs if I do mc bc I feel like she doesn't care!!!

I found the thread I mentioned:

http://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy...s-6-weeks.html

I don't think you automatically see a heatbeat at 6 weeks. There are so many variables involved at this stage. Even if you know when you ovulate, it could still take a little while to implant and therefore be behind. I've seen lots of stories of people who were being scanned at 5 weeks and were told to wait 2 weeks before going back because of the chances of seeing a heartbeat is so much greater at 7 weeks than 6. There is a lady on these forums who measured 2 weeks growth in 4 days!
