Chlamydia :(

Hi Ladies,

I received an email today from the lab with my bloodwork results, I'm not a doctor but I did notice something weird and I'm so worried and lost that I decided to post here even when I feel so ashamed of this.

CHLAMYDIA IgM NEGATIVO NEGATIVO
CHLAMYDIA IgG 1/100 dil Significativo > o = 1/100 dil

It's in spanish girls Im sorry but basically they found Chlamydia Igg antibodies and I read those remain after an infection, unlike the Igm ones that dissapear. So I have it

I'm freaking out because I've had a bit of a weird pain for the last 3 days, as if someone was poking my uterus, a bit of a sharp pain, I did post about it and I was feeling better cause everyone said: as long as it is not excruciating pain and you don't bleed it is normal.

I googled chlamydia in pregnancy and it said it may cause miscarriage it is holy week here and everyone is on vacation including my doctor, I have my next appointment with her until next tuesday and it looks like Ill just have to wait.

I was wondering if you have ever heard of someone having a mc because of this

I'm sorry I wish I could help. Hopefully someone here has some encouraging stories. Many things can lead to miscarriage. It doesn't mean they will.
I wish you A very healthy pregnancy

You most certainly shouldnt be ashamed. Chlamydia is easily passed on and loads of people get it from long term partners because there are no side effects which makes it very difficult to detect without testing.

You will likely get tablets to clear it up but meantime try not to worry. Its unlikely it will cause a miscarriage particularly as they will treat it. If its left unattended for the pregnancy duration, I think thats when the risks increase. x

Im no doctor but I am a Medical Assistant and I want to tell you that your results for Chlamydia are negative. It says that 1/100 but it says yours is 0.

No worries.

Thank you ladies, I guess I feel bad because you hear about these stds and you don't really think is going to happen to you I mean I don't go jumping from guy to guy lol but it only takes one I guess I just feel responsible to know that this can harm my baby and it is my fault

You're definitely right, I do need to relax.

Michelle I took a little screenshot of the results because it looks more clear here:

Under results it says 1/100 and then under references it says that higher or equal to 1/100 it is high, it looks like a zero but it is a letter o which stands for "or" Thank you so much for caring tho, I wish you were right

I think you are okay too hun...it says results 1/100 and in the reference it says negative is between 0/100-1/100...I really think your fine, they would have called or said something sooner if they thought you had it and neede to be treated And don't be ashamed at all we are all here for each other

The negative result is for the IgM Chlamydia test, under that it says IgG 1/100 significant I figured it would say Negative as the Igm one if it was negative... I really hope Im wrong

I got my blood taken yesterday, it is just a private laboratory the girl said they would email the results and i have to take the results to my doctor so she can tell me how everything is maybe I shouldd have waited and just open the email the day of my appointment.

Thank you for your kind words
