I'm afraid that even if the sonogram was an entire week off a urine test won't show a positive result for hg levels until two weeks after conception? So the sonogram would have to be two weeks off Thanks for all the support it means more than you know

I just read a little bit of this and I hope all is well. I had a miscarriage at almost 8 weeks with my last pregnancy but the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. I did have bleeding on and off through the 8 weeks so I had a feeling it was coming.

I had this happen to me in the last few weeks.

Had a scan with my GP and she told me I was 6 weeks. She asked me to come back 2 weeks later so i could see heartbeat. I went back 2 weeks later and she said i still only looked like 6 weeks and still no heartbeat. I knew at this stage i was 8 and a half weeks.

I spent a week worried sick, expecting the worst. I went back last Friday and to my total surprise, there was a baby with a heartbeat that had grown substantially!

I went for a hospital scan a few days ago and they measured baby, and it was measuring perfectly to my dates.

Sometimes when it's early days, scans can be deceiving and can cause more stress than reassurance.

Thank you Mrs. R... It at least gives me some hope that it's possible for a fetus to either not grow for two weeks are grow or the technician made a mistake with the measurements ...I'm having a hard time finding info on the Internet

I know it's tempting to google but you'll only end up worrying yourself.

My doctor said early scans can be a disaster for some people as in the early stages it's very difficult to make a baby out. Having a full/empty bladder, baby's position etc can all affect what you see on the scan. I have my fingers and toes crossed all works out for you x

Hi Madison, I was thinking of you and wanted to check in to see if you had your second ultrasound. I haven't been on much the past few days and don't know if I missed anything.

Thanks so much Monalisa I can't get over the support on this website everyone has been so kind it's refreshing! My sonogram is thurs;however I started to spot very light brown blood? (old blood?) it's almost clear and only a few drops when urinating. This has me worried and is accompanied with very very light mentrual lower abdominal pain (not cramping though). It's so nice to have support here with my husband away and friends and family unaware
