Just can't seem to sleep through the night anymore... Advice?

Pretty much since I found out I was pregnant I just haven't been able to sleep through the night. It started off with me having hot flushes in night, they woke me up regularly. And then it's turned into morning sickness that wakes me up. But sometimes I won't even feel sick and I'll just wake up. It really bugging me as I have always slept through the night. It really wears me down in the day as I'm not getting enough sleep at night.
Any one know of anything that could help?

Funnily enough I heard yesterday (from a midwife) that the progesterone starts to take over around 7 weeks or so and that's what affects your sleep at this stage. Don't know how much use that is but I felt happy to at least know what has been causing it for me!

Unfortunately, this is the case.
First trimester - Hot flushes, frequent urination, sickness..
Second " - Frequent Urination
Third - Aches, Urination, Sickness..
It's not going to get any better, I feel really lousy as I pee about 6 times a night. Cramp, I can't get comfortable. All you can do is just sleep and nap when and as you can.

Hi, i had this since i found out too and like you i always slept great. I started waking for the toilet every night - still do or the sickness woke me up. I think part of it is our minds working overtime too! Heres what helped me:

Going out for a walk at night a few hours before bedtime (tired me and clears the mind!)
Stopped drinking after 8pm to minimise full bladder
Doing something relaxing in bed (not reading baby books, they used to make my mind race!)
Wear something cool so you dont wake up hot! I had windows on the grooves too to let air in.

Hope this helps

This happens to me too. I usually go with it and wake up when my body forces me to, eat a waffle, have a glass of milk, and put on a Netflix. About 30 minutes into the movie I'm out like a light.

I just started having trouble sleeping 3 nights ago. I have been having hot flashes too, I always wake up really hot even when the house is 60 degrees but now I am in bed for an hour or two and am burning up. I have yet to get up to pee in the night and my morning sickness doesn't bother me at night so I don't know why I keep waking up. I fall asleep fine but by 2 in the morning I am waking up a lot and having a hard time falling back asleep. I was up from 2-3 this morning then up again at 4:30 and again at 5:30 and then didn't really fall back asleep, I just layed there for an hour trying.

I normally wake up on average about 3 times a night. Other night I counted 7, then I couldn't focus at work. It's so annoying. It's taking such a toll on my work and home life. I even got exhausted yesterday mashing potatoes.
Just wish there was a way to get my sleep back to how it used to be.
