spotting that stopped but now loss of symptoms

hi girls,

a few days ago, I spotted brown for about 2.5 days. that stopped (thank God) but this morning I woke up and realized that I have had a loss of symptoms. I am going to call my RE, but I am very scared as I have a history of miscarriage. I am 6w2d. can someone share their experience with me please? good and bad. thank you

i didnt want to read and run, but spotting brown on and off is totally normal....and symptoms do come and go as your body adjusts to the hormones. it makes total sense because HCG continues to rise in early pregnancy but around 6-7 weeks it takes longer to rise.....so it would make sense that this slower rise gives our body time to adjust to the HCG levels...and hence we see it as a "dissapeaance" of symptoms. I am no expert, but I have heard from lots of women on her that symptoms come and go and to expect this. I hope all is well, and it never hurts to call your doctor to check things out.

I was exactly the same. Two days of brown spotting and then no symptoms. Boobs not sore, bloating gone down, totally normal. Had the baby 4 months ago! Lack of symptoms is fine! Just watch for red blood and cramps. But so far you are fine!

Symptoms fluctuate. That is normal. Brown spotting usually doesn't mean anything significant. Give it a few days and see if the symptoms return. You can also take a pregnancy test to see how dark the line is.

thank you ladies. you all are wonderful. I had an appointment with my RE yesterday and they confirmed everything is A-OK. I saw the heartbeat and my levels are all good. and go figure, my symptoms all came back last night . I just have to keep reminding myself to trust my baby and my body.

For anyone reading this thread who find themselves in the same situation and are looking for help... it really is ok to have some brown or even pinkish spotting. the cervic is very sensitive and blood engorged during this time and anything can make it bleed. My ultrasound tech told me she has about 6-7 patients a day that comes in with spotting. Unless it is red, and getting heavier, it is very normal this have this. She also did say that symptoms do fluctuate during pregnancy so just give it a day or two and see if they come back.

Silot - thanks for the info from your appointment. I am so happy to hear all is well. did you get to see your little bean on the screen? how exciting! we go on tuesday for a dating scan and i am super excited. it is good to know the tech said she sees quite a few women with spotting...because if i am still spotting i was worried if they do a transvaginal scan and how embaressing it would be to have brown goo on it when she pulled it out! but i guess they are professionals and this is their job. thanks for the post.
