TMI but i need to know how to treat it....

I am pretty sure i have a Yeast infection been noticing it past days but now it's getting bleh. i have not had one in A VERY LONG TIME. it's so bothering and uncomfortable especially when wiping. Sorry for TMI but i need to know what creams or what can help over counter? that is safe. i am worried only 5 weeks. why would i get a yeast infection anyways? are these normal during pregnancy?

I had one and my doctor said to get Monistat 3 or 7......but not the 1. I'm guessing the 1 is too concentrated.

Topical creams I believe are safe but they won't cure the infection within the vagina, it'll just help with the symptoms.
I've read many sources, some say the pessaries are safe, others don't. My recommendation is to keep clear until the second tri.
Until then, I've heard wonders about natural yoghurt (both up the lady bits and eaten) and probiotics. Give it a try, you can't lose!

DO NOT use over the counter oral thrush treatments. NOT SAFE!!!!!!

I haven't tried it myself I'm sorry my dear. I think put in all the way in before bed and leave it in overnight. It has to be natural, unflavoured yoghurt. The ones that taste gross to eat
See what dr. google says about the method of using the yoghurt.

Until then, avoid scented soaps etc. around the area. Avoid tight pants or polyester undies (go for cotton) or go commando !!

I got thrush in my second tri with my last pregnancy and my MW gave me some cream and a pessary. Maybe you could go to the doctor as they will know what is safe/what isn't safe.

Second tri can have different treatments than first tri

I do recommend seeing a doc though but make sure they're 100% sure of the pregnancy category of the med. Push that you're preggo. I thought I had thrush and my doc said to me to bear it until second tri and I completely agreed with him. Other ladies on here have said their doc have said it's safe. It'll depend on the health care provider.

Ask at your local chemist - i'm sure they can advise which is best to use when pregnant - i know its embarrassing but plenty of women get thrush! :-)

This may sound weird, but I use coconut oil when I get a yeast infection and it clears it up within a couple days! Just freeze a few chunks, then insert a chunk each day until the symptoms stop. I'd recommend doing it at night as it is very messy.
