Anyone else finding out the sex as early as possible?

I had a 9 week 5 day scan through a private company who were amazing. Then my 12 week 5 day scan on the NHS who were awful and barely said two words to me!!

So for the gender scan I wanted to go to the private people again cos they were so lovely (spent ages pointing things out and let me listen to the heartbeat and gave loads of pics)

So I've booked myself in for there 2d gender scan at 16 weeks and I can't wait. I hope these 3 weeks go fast. If they can't tell I can go back in a week or 2 after that for free which is awesome.

Where I am it costs pretty much the same amout to find out on the NHS but you have to wait till 22 weeks.

Anyone else already booked to find out the gender???

What are you all hoping for?

I want a healthy happy baby...but would like a girl a lot. But deep down I don't REALLY mind.

I go back and forth but I think we'll find out as soon as we can! We're a military family and the inconsistency of where or what can happen at any time is a bit scary to me so I'd like to start planning as soon as possible. Esp. since I have a gut feeling I'm twin-ing it! lol

Hehe. I think im having a girl. everyone else says boy!! the 12 week 5 day scan was too unclear to see a nub or anything.

I gave in and got a doppler too lol. Which hopefully I'll get tommorow!

My husband and I are debating if we want to pay for the gender scan at 16 weeks. We really want to find out the sex as early as possible but our insurance will cover anything that is medically nessisary (which is everything except gender scan/3D) so it would be free at the 20 week scan. My husband thinks it is a girl and I don't have a clue yet. I really don't care either way (its our first and we plan on having a few so next time I might care) but I just want to know so we can go shopping for more than yellow and green things and paint the room and everything.

I did I couldn't wait. I found out at 15wks 4dys....and so happy that I did.

I haven't bought ANYTHING yet and I'm going to wait till the 16 week scan and buy my first thing in either blue or pink. I'm so excited.

It's only something like £53 which I think is good as I get to find out so early!

Also another excuse to see the baby and put my mind at rest! Why I've bought the doppler to stop me going mad between scans.

I think once I've had my 20 week abnormality one i'll chillax cos hopefully be showing!! and hopefully be feeling the little un so not thinking all the time 'are you really in there?'

your like me! Im so impatient lol!!! And that gives me hope they'll be able to tell mine at 16 weeks too

Haha I have half a closet full of stuff already. We have some boy stuff and girl stuff on top of the gender neutral. (My husband buys for what ever he feels like it is at the moment). I couldn't wait to go shopping. We are trying to stop till at least the 12 week scan to buy anything else but hopefully we can hold out until we find out the sex. If my doctors office will give me a scan that they say is to check growth or something else my insurance will cover it and I would do that for sure, but its hard to pay $75 for something that could be free even though we want to know so badly.

How much was the early scan you had,I'm so nervous I think I night have one,what companies do them? Also,what's a doppler lol and is anybody going to get the baby heart monitor from boots? It works after 21 weeks abduction you can hear the heartbeat and the babies hiccups Awwww
