Colouring hair?

Hi...I am freaking out at all the grey in my hair!!!! Lol unsure as to whether it is safe or not to colour my hair...I'm a brunette so go a similar shade to my own...so I'm not bleaching it...I'm 11+1....most friends say they did it when they were pregnant...cannot find any scientific reason not to but I'm still put off for some reason!

when i was trainning to be a hairdresser they said there is no reason why a pregnant woman cant colour their hair however i have heard that it is best to do it in a well ventalated room as the smells can be very strong the same as painting ur nails and having acrylic nails keep the windows open. i have done my hair and i am not worried at all

I had my hair done for the first time since being pregnant on thursday. I normally have all over blonde with bleach packets but this time I only had a root tint. Not because it's bad for the baby but because ur hair can change when u r pregnant. I've noticed mine seems dryer already! Covering your grey will be fine!

I also realised when I was there that the last time I had had my hair done, I went home and conceived this bean! Will be scared to sit back in that chair once I'm fertile again lol

I've been informed it's not okay until after your first tri.

Unasked my midwife and she said that there hasn't been really any studies done on it. However contrary to popular belief she said the brown and red dyes are worse than bleaching blond. She advised to wait until after first tri and ask the hairdressers if they have any natural ones that are safe for pregnant women. It's nit just fumes but if you get a ie a full head the chemicals can be absorbed via scalp. As stated before She said that there is no evidence to support so you need to decide if it is worth the risk.

I am waiting VERY impatiently until after my first trimester is over. I called my hair salon, and they told me that it would be best to wait. Also, the color that you can buy and use at home is more harsh than at the salon.

Hi - I've used a natural hair dye (Korra brand) with no amonia in my first tri. I don't use it to cover grey but understand it does cover it well.

My doctor and several ob gyn friends have ok'ed it.
