What pram/travel system is everyone planning on?

I am super early to even be thinking about this, but I can't help myself! Luckily, my parents will be buying most of the big things for baby and I also work for a large, well-known department store that has amazing baby stuff, so I'll get a good discount. Anyone, I think I've decided on the iCandy cherry in fudge. Heart was set on bugaboo, but the carrycot looks crazy low down and not sure if it's for me now.

What's everyone else thinking of?

me and oh have already started researching this too. im not goint to actually buy anything until 12 weeks but need to spread cost as much as poss so this will be our first purchase as not too worried about getting a neutral colour.

we went to john lewis yesterday as they seem to stock the main big brands. we went set on the bugaboo but left wanting the icandy peach lol. i think this is the route we are going down - although im hoping to find a nearly new one (not car seat, will get that new).

theres so much choice though its so hard!

Tell me about it! Did you have a play about with both the Bugaboo and iCandy? Only thing I've heard about the iCandy's are that they are quite heavy, and I'm only a little thing.

I have been dead set on a Bugaboo since we started TTC, but I think I'm going off them now and extra money saved could go towards something else.

Not heard of either of those! I really like the silvercross 3D pram system, nce and sturdy looking and not too expensive

yes we had a play with both. i liked all the features of the bugaboo but it was a bit fiddley for me i think. i prefered the look of the icandy and it feels more sturdy. it is heavy yes but only to lift the base when folded - its my one turn off but im quite strong lol.

the lady in the shop said her fave was the uppa baby which i hadnt even heard of before, that looked good too.

I haven't gone to look at any yet so I might change my mind when I do but kiddicare do some quite reasonable travel systems (around £250) with the car seat included. I don't want to spend a massive amount on a pram because I see myself mainly using a sling. I also have my eye on a baby weaver wooden highchair from kiddicare!

I'd love to trade mine in and get a new one (Bugaboo Bee Plus) but went a bit mad last time. Started with Quinny Buzz but hated it so traded it in for a second hand Bugaboo Frog (old Chameleon) which I loved but was quite bulky so we bought a Bugaboo Bee - after more bulky prams it's revolutionary and everyone who pushes it loves it. But I prefer bassinets for tiny babies so we'll start with the Frog and transfer to the Bee when Baby is a few months old. Got green and pink hoods so sorted for either flavour :-)

I took my niece out in her quinny buzz and whilst I did like it, it didn't feel quite funky enough. Got my eye on a Phil and Ted's explorer, my friend has one of these so I will borrow the pram (with baby) next time i see her and try it out (i loving being a pretend Mummy with pram, can't wait until it's us!!!). Our big problem is my car is small on boot space (BMW 1 series) as we also need to buy a new house before bubs arrives unfortunately there is no scope of a new car, hence travel will need to fit this small space. The quinny did, but I suspect a Phil and Ted's won't
