Graduation...

My university is arranging the graduation ceremony for July. I don't know I've graduated yet, but you have to book it in advance... My question is this : they want me to order my robes and I'll need to know my chest circumference etc. by July maybe I'll be showing, By 21 weeks I was defo showing last time. I don't know whether to add a little bit on the chest and worried I'm gonna look silly. Do you think they'll look smart if I use my measurements at the moment? Help

I would add a little more just in case. You can always use tissue to fill the empty space lol

I think it's like a cloak type thing from what I can tell but I'm worried it'll have this awkward parting down the middle and all my bump will just be sat in the middle I need to look smart and don't want my gown to look daft lol

I would order a little bigger than you are now just to be safe. Better for it to be too big than sqeeze the crap out of you.

Yeah I think that's a good idea! Shame they don't have a maternity line I'm gonna have fun finding a smart maternity dress to go underneath too! No way I'm wearing heels! I'll have to find smart flats!

The company will bring a few spare robes in different sizes amd if there are other ceremonies over the course of the day, will be able to offer you an alternative.

Also, it's not a tight fitting robe and it attaches via button/safety pin to the front of your clothes. I'd measure a little looser but not too loose as it's not just around your chest, but your shoulders too so maybe put a thick jumper on then measure.

I was in the same situation with DS and my robe was fine.

Ah great that's made me feel a lot better. I didn't have a clue how it was gonna look when they were asking for chest measurements.
