My BMI was 37 when I fell pregnant and I've had no issues. My blood pressure is actually very low, and all scans are normal and good. I have to be consultant led, but for my first baby, I want TEN consultants and midwives - never mind a birthing centre, thank you very much You will be fine Congratulations!

with my daughter my starting bmi was 39 and ending bmi37 due to hyperemisis, i was consultant led, my bp was fine, and i had no problems due to my size, you will be tested for diabetes and may be offered growth scans I joined sw after having my daughter and my bmi is now down to 33, I'm doing sw this time through out my pregnancy with my mw and consultants permission, yes you are bigger but you can be big and healthy and you can have a happy healthy pregnancy done let anyone give you horror stories or tell you off, doctors are not there to judge but to treat

I have a friend who has had 3 successful pregnancies resulting in 3 healthy children, I don't know her bmi, but she is very overweight due to thyroid problems. My cousins wife is also very overweight and has had two healthy kiddies. They both had c-sections, but recovered well. I am bmi 30 and am hoping to give birth through the hoo-ha, I seem to be drawn more to eating healthy food since becoming pregnant so I might improve, I think I've lost weight since becoming preggo.
I too feel hungry regularly, I'm just trying to keep my portions small to compensate. I find it's easier to eat slowly so I can tune in to when I'm full (I'm generally an overeater- I love my food!).
Wishing you a happy & healthy 9 months, enjoy! X

Well i can say my BMI is as yours is, or more! i have put on weight with each of my children and never managed to shift it, and yet its "fat"!!
I really wouldnt worry, i am currently expecting my 3rd baby whilst being this overweight, and i have had no issues so far, like others have said, you may be consultant led, woth the occasional midwife appointment too, depending how your authority work, but you will possibly end up having i think 3 more scans whilst under consultant, i think 28, 32 and 36 weeks, thats what i had to have with my youngest .

But really, you will be fine!!!

aww hun, dont worry your doctor will be kind and maybe suggest extra measures to monitor you, but then that is only a good thing in my opinion

i too have a high bmi, its about 34, i was about to start ivf right after my bfp and they didnt even make a fuss about weight for that.. h+h 9 months to you
