Renting a Doppler

I know some people arent keen on using Dopplers but I'm quite interested in renting one for a month or 2 and wondering how it works from anybody who's done it before.

I had my booking in appointment during the week at 9 weeks. I was told that this counted as my 12 week scan and that my next
appointment would be at 20 weeks! That's a long wait and I was hoping to rent a Doppler to give me some reassurance
between these appointments.

Can anybody recommend a company? Do u only have To rent for a month or do u have to sign up to a contract and then cancel if ur done?
Any help appreciated x

Im not too sure how the renting works. When i put in 'doppler' to ebay to look for my own one, the first few choices were a monthly rental option for a pretty good model. I ended up on amazon and got myself an angelsounds for £23.89, they have over 390 possitive reviews and some have noted baby heartbeat from 9-10 weeks. I have a past of m/c's so i will be using my doppler between the 12 and 20 week scan as thats quite a while to wait without any knowledge that all is ok. x

When i was pregnant with my daughter we bought a sonoline B dopper for £45 posted, and it was a godsend before the 12 week scan (we had, had 2 mc's before getting pregnant with Sophie.) I didn't find her heart beat until 11 weeks though, and only really "needed" to use it from when i found her heartbeat until i felt her moving around 14-15 weeks.

We then sold it as we wern't planning on anymore lol. But this baby is defo our last so i'm thinking of renting one around 9 weeks for about 2 months. x

I was talking to my SIL who is 28wks about getting one earlier and both her and my mum said they think it's a waste of money an it'll stress me out when I can't find a heartbeat, I explaine I'd wait until 12wks to get one but they just shot me down. I now feel like I should prove them wrong and buy one earlier! Also she said they don't work till 18wks! I was like hmmm yh they do!
