Back Pain in early pregnancy?

Hi Ladies...I was just looking for some support and positive stories! I have a pretty bad back ache that started this evening and everything I read says that it is normal (caused by hormones and stretching, etc.) but I am still pretty worried. I don't have any bleeding or anything so I am fine there. Any of you experience this so early on in your pregnancy? I don't remember if I had this with my first pregnancy or not...I really want this rainbow to stay. Any stories or support welcome! Thank you for listening!

i've had a lower back ache on and off since the beginning. as far as i know everything is still okay. i'll know more on tuesday after our next u/s. i told our fs about it at our first u/s and he didn't seem at all concerned.

Thanks Bexxc! Glad to hear that I am not the only one experiencing it and that it is normal. GL on you ultrasound! Keep me updated. I have my scan on the April 23rd so I am hoping things are ok.

I keep analyzing everything...once something horrible happens to you or you want something soooo bad it really takes the innocence out of pregnancy! I have been good so far bc I know that it is totally out of my control but I know that I will have bad days where I freak about nothing! Ugghhhh! Just so glad that I still feel crappy! lol

it must be incredibly hard for you to stay calm...much harder than it is for me, i'm sure. i was telling dh yesterday that they should make a test so you can poas every day and it tells you if everything is okay. whoever invents that could make a freakin fortune off all of us nervous nellies!

i get this horrible 'contraction like' pain around my mid back and tummy they last for 30 seconds and go away. sometimes it'll be 2 or 3 in a row then nothing for days. im terrified im going to have bad 'back labour' but hey heres hoping lol.
im not worried cause i had this with my full term babies and not with my mc's (mc's was more of a lower back and pelvic cramping) so im feeling more confident everyday here.

i think back pain is very common, but to be safe get to a dr.

Thanks hun! And yes that invention would be fab or everyone has a u/s in the their home and someone to tell them that everything is ok. Maybe a psychic!?! lol It really makes you realize that it is such a miracle when a baby is born!

You can buy portable u/s machines, but they are about £2k.
Top animal breeders and farmers tend to have them.
I used to breed snakes and at one point did consider buying one (so wish I had now).

I've been having fairly bad back pain, but I did already have back problems before finding out I was pregnant so I was kinda expecting it to get worse, but in all honesty I've found its getting better probably due to having to sleep on my side. When it gets really bad the doctor told me to take paracetomol (I was on tramadol before finding out I was pregnant)
