Idk what to think !!!!!

okay i found out i was pregnant on april 2nd, i had cramping and freaked out because people were saying this was not normal. after googling for hours i called my clinic many times until i went to the ER. got a pelvic exam and and ultra sound (vaginal/stomach) everything came back fine. they found a intrauterine but no yolk sac or fetal pole (which worries the hell out of me if im supposed to be "5-6 weeks") anyways, my ectopic pregnancy risk was low because my ovaries and things were fine and getting the correct amount of blood. im still scared as hell because i was a heavy cigarette smoker before i found out (i do still kinda tap it here and there) i still have cramping but i move around fine no bleeding just discharge and the pain is nowhere near severe. also my shoulder in the back feels strained ! omg -____- helppppp !!

Cramping is really normal in early pregnancy (and even later on it's usually fine)! I had HEAPS this time around, and I saw my babe with a heartbeat at 7w3d.

If they saw something in your uterus that sounds great! Even if your dates are off by a few days that makes a huge difference as to what can be seen.

I had lots of cramping from week 3-6 especially, worse than period pain, as I don't usually get period cramps.

The shoulder pain sounds a bit unusual, I know that it's a sign of pain from an ectopic pregnancy. But it could be other things. I am finding my gallbladder is acting up now that I am pregnant and it transfers a weird pain to my shoulder blade, rather than any real pain in the gall bladder area.

Regarding the smoking, you can't help what you did in the past, and smoking is one of the hardest things to give up. If you've made a effort to cut back, I think that's fantastic.

try to stay calm. some cramping is perfectly normal. i don't know who told you it isn't, but they were misinformed. as far as the shoulder pain, i know that can be an symptom of an ectopic pregnancy, but it's something i've never experienced, so i can't be of much help there. also, i wouldn't worry too much about what you saw or didn't on your u/s. it sounds like you don't know exactly how far along you are. you may not be as far along as you think. i would suggest calling your doc asap if you're super worried. they'll be able to help you sort things out.

I know its a sign of ectopic preg . But they found a intrauterine so that is normal I'm not bleeding I'm not in severe pain and my ovaries and tubes are fine . Everyone keeps putting that in my head too which does not make my nerves even better . Thanks though !

I would try not to worry. I'm almost 5 weeks along and have some of the worst cramps I've ever felt. From what I've been told, its just the uterus making room for the baby.

If the doctors said everything was fine, then it probably is. This is what they do, ya know? It's so easy to be worried about everything. I google every litle ache and pain just to make sure it's supposed to be happening! I would try to relax and call the doctor again if you're still worried, but it sounds like everything shuld be fine, especially if they ruled out ectopic.

Good luck!!

your shoulder pain could be completely unrelated to your pregnancy. i think that shoulder pain associate with ectopic pregnancy is a very specific pain in a very specific place, but you'd have to ask someone who has been through it before f you're really concerned. like you said, they've already confirmed an an intrauterine pregnancy, so i think you're just fine.

With my etopic i had no shoulder pain at all, iothers may have but i would say that this could be completely unrelated to your pregnancy, especially as they have confirmed that the bub is in the right place when i had my scan at 5-6 weeks with my etopic, they found nothing in the uterus at all which made them look further and confirmed an etopic.
I've had af-like pains on and off ever since my BFP and a scan last week confirmed all ok

xx

I had really bad cramping in early pregnancy so i know how you feel, try not to worry it's so common!
By week 16 baby is fully formed, from then on it's just a case of baby getting bigger!
Your body is going through so many changes at this stage, just stay comfortable and relax as much as you can
