Scared. Any advice?

Yesterday afternoon I had a small amount of red blood on the tissue after I had been to the toilet. Called out of hours doctor and they made me an appointment so off i trot to the hospital panicking. The doctor I saw didnt bother doing anything except taking my blood pressure which was fine. He just said go home and see what happens which really did nothing to help me. Ive had no pain or cramps and it stopped for about 4hrs after I got home from the hospital so started to feel better, then just before bed after a bowel movement (slightly constipated yay body changes!) there was more red blood than there had been. Cue major freak out but decided to just go to sleep what will be will be. This morning still no cramps or pains, hugely positive hpt, turned more orangey colour when I wipe but its still there. No clots or tissue or anything but CM and orangey blood colour.
Should I call the out of hours again? Try the midwife? Help?

I had brown blood at the same stage as you and all was fine. I am aware red blood is more concerning, but since you have no pain and clots you should be okay. Still i would call your midwife, she may refer you to epu for a reassurance scan.
Take care

spotting is normal in early pregnancy, and a little bit of red blood is usually no cause for concern...although, def. sends any moma freaking out! you can spot various colors for various reasons. I would recommend that as long as the bleeding does not increase and is not accompanied by painful cramps then to followup with you doctor/midwife when you can just to let them know and see if they want to do anything...sometimes they may send you for a scan. try not to worry yourself too much - i know, easier said than done. i would followup with your doctor though at some point. hugs.

Thank you for your replies, I called my midwifeand shes booked me in for a scan on fri morning for reassurance. She said as theres no pain or heavy flow it could be the foetus implanting in the uterus. Its apparently quite common at 6-7wks but is still scary. Just got to hold on till fri now!

i am glad you were able to get ahold of your midwife and hopefully she eased your mind some. personally i have been spotting brown for a week now...spotted brown for a few days at 4 weeks too. i happen to have a dating scan tomorrow - cant wait to see my bean and its heartbeat and ease my mind. i am sure all will be ok - more pregnancies are successful than those that are not. hugs
