Hi there, sorry this may go on a bit but i wanted to know anyone else's experience with scan dates!
I got my first BFP at 9 dpo (very early i've been told) so was only around 3 1/2 weeks when i found out i was expecting! I booked to see the dr straight away who saw me for 10 minutes and told me what i should and should not be doing/eating.. and he booked me in for an appointment with the midwife at 6 weeks, last week, which was basically an early booking appointment for about an hour. she then told me she would book my dating scan, which apparently is any time after 8 weeks if you are not having the tests for downs syndrome. This was brilliant news which meant i could have my scan any time from monday 16th april! to put my mind at rest that everything is good and to get an exact due date. I got my letter from the hospital yesterday to tell me my scan has been booked for the 15th may! i will be over 12 weeks then at the earliest! possibly more as i do ovulate very early in my cycles. The letter states that after 12w 6d they cannot date the pregnancy in the same way not too sure what that means.

Anyone else take 6 weeks for a scan date to come through? it seems a little long as i thought because i found out so early and got the ball rolling booking my scan so early i wouldn't have to wait that long!

I am having mine on Friday, at 11 weeks, 5 days.

I had my mid wife booking appointment at 9 weeks 2 days, a little late because she was on leave the week I was 8 weeks.

I would phone the Antenatal department (number in the front of your notes) and speak to them. That's what I did and managed to get my scan a week earlier than they were going to give me.

Mine is on the 19th April, which makes me 12+3 or there abouts, I know here they do dating scans between 8-13 weeks so yours sounds normal to me

Mine is next tuesday and I will be 14+4

had booking in at 10 weeks and then scan will be on friday which will be 12+3.

Mine is at 12+5 x

Sounds perfectly normal to me.. I had mine yesterday I thought I was 12+6 but they dated me 13+2.. Time will soon pass hunny!! Just think the later you have it the better it will be, you'll see lots more! I can't believe how much my baba had changed since 8+5 x x

I had booking appointment with midwife at 10 weeks then scan at 12+5.

To be honest i would not want to have my scan too early as there is a huge growth spurt between 8/9 weeks and 12/13 weeks.

I had a private scan at 9weeks+3 and it just looked like a blob with a heartbeat, then i had my dating scan at 12weeks+5 and you can see head, arms legs and baby moving!!!!

Also i had downs screening which cant be done before about 11w

sound's fine to me. i had my booking in and an early scan when i was 7+3. my next scan is 10th May making me 12 + 4
