I have a scan (maybe hi-res?) today, and I'm so excited! My OB couldn't get a good picture at my last appointment, due to a large cyst on my ovary, so I had to come back in for a dating scan. I've checked online and from what I've seen, embryos at 9 weeks often look recognizable. Really hoping everything's progressing properly, and that we get a good view!
On the other hand, I'm nervous to see what's going on with the cyst. It was 8cm two weeks ago, and I suspect that it grew. I was feeling it a lot for a while. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong, because I really don't want to get surgery to have this thing removed while I'm pregnant.
Overall, it was a good visit! The little one definitely was definitely recognizable. Such an incredible difference from just two weeks ago. The tech was explaining apologetically that there are only arm and leg buds at this point, not actual limbs, and my husband and I laughed because we couldn't believe how much was actually there to see.
The cyst, unfortunately, is still there. The tech was obviously not happy about it. She called in the doc on call to check it out, and she wasn't thrilled either. Apparently they weren't happy because they couldn't see any ovarian tissue around the cyst. But there's nothing they can do for now. I have another visit next week, and I'm very much hoping that there's an improvement by then.
