What stage will you start buying?!

At what stage will everyone be buying things? im very nervous something will go wrong but i really dont think i can wait 6 weeks to buy things!! OH mother has started even though i have asked her not to but it is her first grandchild so its to be expected. I was just going to pick up odds and sods like bottles, bips, etc but if anything happens i will feel like its my fault but if i start buying after 3 months i only have 6 months to get EVERYTHING!! I know your all thinking well just save for the next 2 months but I jsut want to buy everything now! including my doppler :-) xx

Probably not until my 20 week scan in June! This way I'll know if it's a boy or a girl.

I have my 12 weeks scan on Friday, I will probably start getting little bits after that. Not big things- I am hoping to use my SILs pram and cot- but anything I see in the sales.

I read someone today that once you are out of the 1-5 week period your chances of miscarrying drop to around 5%. That made me feel a bit more reassured as im 6 weeks today.

I will start picking up small items in my shopping after the scan; shampoo, nappy cream, baby wipes etc. Will also start adding neutral baby grows etc to my primark or asda shops. But I will wait on any bigger items til the 20+ scans. More because I need to sort out our home to accomodate a travel system etc. Also, it means im getting more interest in the bank than stuff waiting at home in boxes.

I think ill do the same as you then hun, as you say its more interest in the bank than at the house! Primark do some lovely basic things these days and Asda, i seen a lovely babygrow Monday saying i love Mummy and Daddy, the OH and I just stood there touching it both dying to get it but i know if anything happened we would feel as though we jinxed it!

xxx

I haven't bought anything yet but I've been given a lot of things from friends and my MIL! I don't believe in jinxing things so not too worried about having things so early.

I'll probs do the same, as we are in the process of buying a house we can't buy too much cause there's no room at my mums!

Little bits that you'll need lots of doesnt hurt tho

I don't believe in jinxing things, in my other pregnancies I brought little things, and later miscarried. I still to this day do not believe just because I brought a little baby grow it made me lose my baby, if it's going to happen it's going to happen. Besides, after the miscarriages I felt I had something to remember them by and it gave me more ambition to be pregnant again
I've brought a few little things, it works out cheaper that way! But won't be buying the bigger things until 20+ xx
