anyone working with morning sickness?

Hi Ladies

I am just over 6 weeks pregnant and feeling really lousy today as morning sickness has really kicked in. Have had a little nausea for about 2 wks but definitely worse today. I have a 15 and a 13 year old and was badly sick with these 2 and hoped if would be different this time as I am older and with different partner. I didn't work with these 2 so could rest and sleep and puke as needed!
This time I work full time and long hours too. I don't want anyone especially work to know until had nuchal testing.
I wondered if any of you ladies could offer any hope that you can manage to work through it? I have had a week of holiday and go bacl tomorrow and am worried how I will cope?
All reassurance greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I work full time and it sucks, I'm suffering through it.....

My last pregnancy I worked in a lab that did testing on saliva, that is the worst smelling stuff on earth, I just remind myself that my new lab is only blood......

I work in a nursery. The only way I'm surviving is to go out of the room and eat something every 2 hours roughly or when I need to. I find I start heaving when I need to eat. It's weird. Once I eat I stop heaving. Well at the moment anyway. Last week I threw up even though I'd eaten. It defo comes and goes in waves. I had to clean up a puddle of urine today and that made me heave bad. Worse than poo. Even my own urine is getting to me lately! Weird probably tmi sorry. So just the eating regularly oh and I've got those sickness bands. I like to think they work but doubt it. Still won't be taking them off and chancing it! X

Toothfairy, it sounds like you and I have a lot in common. I have a 15 year old daughter and am 36 so it is as if I'm starting over but with a different partner. I've had more than a few instances where I'm meeting with clients and all the sudden the nausea takes over and I feel ever so woozy. In my field of work, I'm an attorney, it's not so humorous especially when I'm in the middle of a hearing. I do work full time, but I'm lucky because I have an office in my home so I can take a break if I need to. I'm due around November 24th. Maybe we can be bump buddies.

That would be great lawgirl!! I have friend requested you. Have you told your daughter yet?I don't think my kids will be impressed! I am a little older than you, I am 39!
I am hoping that being at work might distract me a little. I know that if I have a cold or feel tired, sometimes I am better at work than laying around at home feeling sorry for myself. Does anyone find that this is the case?

I've just got back from work 9.5 hour day plus an hour commute each way equals in bed at 7:30 pm! I am soooooo tired, and don't even mention sick! I don't know how I'm gonna make it to the weekend.

I have found that the sea bands are brilliant. They really do take the edge off the nauseous feeling. They don't work for everyone mind.

Sorry, don't be scared! I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself today, it's been a bad one, and I didn't sleep too well. Most days are okay, eating regularly helps. I've been keeping a secret stash of rice cakes to snack on which usually keep the nausea at bay.
