Brown spotting at 7wks...

So a little bit of background on my story... I have 3 kids, one preemie, one a twin of one I lost and one I got pregnant with while still pregnant with a persistant ectopic that was treated with methotrexate. Since TTC again I've had a chemical pregnancy and another ectopic pregnancy. I am currently pregnant again and last friday I had some spotting that started around supper time and was gone by morning. than yesterday and today I had brown spotting. I find I have all sorts of weird pains in my belly and my lower back and I try not to worry but given my history I can't help but stress out about whats going on. I can't see my doctor until next tuesday and have an ultrasound booked for monday. I am trying really hard to stay positive but its so hard. Anyone else have a bit of spotting that turned out to be nothing

I got my BFP at the start of March following an early mc at the end of Jan so understand it can be really nerve wracking, and that's just after one mc so I totally see why you're nervous!

I had brown bleeding in small amounts starting at about 6 weeks this time round so was sent for an early scan at 7 weeks which was absolutely fine! We saw our little bean with a heartbeat and all was well. The brown spotting continued for about 3 weeks on and off, mostly off but still worrying. Its stopped now and things seem to be going well so try not to stress too muchm

Brown blood is old blood as I've been told and from what I've read it mostly turns out to be harmless.

Good luck with your scan, keep us posted xxx

Hi

I had brown spotting from 5wk+4 thru all of week 6.

I'm now 7+2 and it's stopped --- fingers crossed.

And today we have paid for a private scan and our little bean is measuring bang on 7+2 and heart was going strong at 150bpm.

So brown spotting, touch wood, isn't always bad news.

I totally freaked out when it happened to me though.

I got sent for an early scan at 6+2 and they saw the heart beat etc everything was fine.

So had my scan today and the Ultrasound technician asked me if I had some bleeding, i was like yessss? she said she could see some blood in my uterus and sometimes when the baby grows too much too fast it causes bruising and a bit of bleeding. Also that I should expect a little bit more!!! I just thought I would share that for anyone interested in this thread!!

Wow that's interesting! I've had very light brown cm (minimal) on and off for the past two weeks.. had an ultrasound at 7w and baby was great and even measuring big (100% sure of my ov date)! Perhaps that's why I am having the brown cm? Thanks for sharing, congratulations! xx
