Hi! I was wondering if there are any photographers here who have shot a wedding during their pregnancy. I have 3 weekend in a row of weddings coming up starting the 21st and am feeling nervous about it. I don't have morning sickness yet but am fatigued. Any advice on how to get through it?
No advice realy, I gave up shooting weddings at 9 weeks last time and havnt done it since.
Oh actualy tell a lie I did one at 7 months but that was for my cousins wedding present so I had all family running behind me carrying things and husband done any difficult ones and I gor to sit down and pig out afterwards
I have a wedding every Saturday this month and am praying morning sickness doesn't decide to kick in. I'm only 5 weeks so it could happen anytime but feeling good so far as long as I eat often. I also have a wedding in November. I'm terrified as I will be due in December so I don't know how I'll survive that. My best advice: get the best second shooter possible and tell them you may be sick or tired so you will depend on them. You really only have to be the face and do the formals. Let the second shooter do everything they can and bring an assistant too to carry stuff and get you food and water. I have a good friend who I shot with when she was 7 months and I carried her so she said she'll carry me when it's my turn in November. It's hard work, so don't over work yourself. Take lots of breaks!
Thanks guys. My husband is my 2nd shooter so we should be ok - hopefully I won't be puking during the ceremony! I'm going to keep snacks and water on hand at all times. On a side note, I tried on my fav "shoot a wedding" black pants and they are already too tight around the waist so now I have to find something that fits! ahhh!
