Sooo sick :( any advice?

I'm so nauseated, all day everyday. Nothing helps, my prescriptions don't even help... I just want to lay in the bed all day! Any advice?

Have you tried Unisom and B6? I just started taking Unisom at night and it makes a huge difference the next day. Apparently it's supposed to be combined with B6.

I feel your pain, though. Up until I started the Unisom I was totally sick all day every day. Couldn't get any work done or anything. I hope you feel better soon!

For me, eating sweets whenever I got into bed helped. Gummy bears etc... In fact, I kept salty, carby and sweet food by my bed (along with lots of water) so that any time I felt sick, I would munch on them. It didn't fix the problem (I was really really sick up until about a week ago), but it sometimes made it better.

FEEL BETTER SOON!

Ginger seems to be all I can do to help my MS and even then it's short lived. I have spiced chai herbal tea with a strong touch of ginger in it. It's by Numi and I got it at target. a hot cup of that keeps my tummy calm for a few hours. Considering I am ALWAYS sick, it's nice. But I don't like it enough to drink it all day

Good luck, rest lots, hope you feel better soon. It'll be worth it in the end. You'll barely remember the MS when you're a mommy!

Try some fresh ginger root. get ginger ale or 7-up/sprite...grate a little of the ginger, or finely chop, add it into the glas, muddle, or better yet, JUICE IT if you have a juicer! be careful it can be spicy so watch the amount you add, but it helps!

For me the B6 itself wasn't enough. It was only after I added the Unisom that I saw a difference. I was reluctant to take regular medication while pregnant, but it's been a huge help.

I find that protein really helps me. When I'm sick enough, the only thing I can keep down is peanut butter sandwichs. It's high in fat, BUT there's so much protein and it's pretty plain. I eat maybe two a day.. Beef jerky has a ton of protein as well, but has a lot of sodium. Lemonade and orange juices helps as well. Sometimes water will nauseate me, so it's good to switch it up sometimes. Some women find that sodas soothe their stomachs (opposite for me).

I am so sorry you're feeling sick.. I take phenergan (old prescription and doctor said that was fine), which is like Zofran but it's not prescribed as often anymore because it doesn't work as well. I find that taking a whole before bed, and a half around 3pm helps keep it away. Try and eat as often as you can. I eat every 3 hours or so. If I go any longer I feel horrible.

I was pretty much the same... I bought some sea bands and although they didn't take away all the sickness I found it eased it an awful lot x
When I couldn't face eating much I found apples to be ok and also lemonade helped ease my wishy feeling in my tummy x

Hope you find something that works for you soon. It's totally miserable isn't it

X

Oh hun, I know what you mean! But you know what you have inspired to me make a thread for people to add to on what helps and what doesn't for each other... I suffered severe hyperemesis with both pg's... vomiting up to 50 times a day night and day and being hospitalized 3x with first and twice with second for dehydration... so I know how you feel!!!
Try these things.

- Peppermint essence on your wrists
-Thiamine
-B6 ( i have just discovered through www.baby4you.co.nz - B-Natal Apple lozenges and Cherry lollipops that have B6 in them and taste NICE)
- Preggy Drops
- Zofran wafers
- Stemetil from 3 months (b4 3 months can cause m/c)
- small frequent meals
- Powerade or a sweet energy drink with NO CAFFIENE - also rehydrates you

These are just some things... GL!
