M.D. Vs D.O.?

I just found out my appointment tomorrow, first one, is with a D.O. My office has 3 OBs and you don't really see one, you trade off. I am not 100% sure about this because I think it's hard enough to be comfortable with one doctor on such private things, let along 3. But they are a well reviewed practice with an all female staff and have programs for all sorts of birthing plans and any degree of medical intervention (or lack thereof) an expectant mommy could ask for, so I decided to give it a try.

Anyways, a reminder card came in the mail and it says, Kasper, D.O.

Imagine me surprise? I had no clue

I don't know how I feel about it yet. I know I HAVE to demand a scan tomorrow because of spotting. But other than that - I'm a pretty all-natural gal. Though, I am not a home-birth gal. I certainly don't mind a natural, lighter approach to medicine. I'd rather drink something with ginger than take perscriptions for MS. Rather take a warm shower and a nap for a headache than take tylenol, and the like.

Curious - are you using an M.D. or a D.O.? Why? Or did you not intentionally choose one or the other? Do you trust ostepathics over western medicine?

I am seeing an MD.. No real reason just the office that I picked. I believe at 9 weeks is when they gave me my first ultrasound. My Dr office has 7 doctors and If I were you I would see all of them atleast once because whoever is on call is who will deliver you. And about spotting I'm not sure what kind you are having but I have had spotting off and on for this whole pregnancy and all is fine... Good Luck!!!
