Scan letter

How long did you have to wait after your midwife appointment to get your scan date through?

It's been 2 weeks now and I'm getting impatient/worried its got lost

contact your gp or midwife, I was given my date a week ago long before I even had my booking in appointment, I dont see the midwife for the first time till end of the month then my scan is mid next month.

Did you talk to your midwife about booking the scan because my dr sends off for the scan date at the same timeyou book an appointment for the midwife they dont wait till you see one to do it because it takes ages

I have been given a scan date in about a week and a bit but have not had a letter to confirm it. Should you get something in the post?

Every area is different some places will be told when the scan is, others will tell you that the hospital will contact you by letter. If the nurse gave you the date you won't need or get a letter

Realy though they should all send a letter out because theres a booklet that normaly goes with it that gives some good info about screaning and tests.
Suppose if the midwife gives it out though it isnt so bad but its something idealy people should read early on before thier scan so they know what to expect and about downs and spina bifida screening.

Phone the hospital that you've requested. They get a bit bogged down sometimes so always best to give them a gentle nudge.

I rang the midwife and she's told me to ring the hospital Monday, so hopefully I should get told my date. I don't even mind waiting for the letter if it's been sent. I jus want to know ill have a date soon, I'm so impatient
