Everything went great. Doctor isn't worried about my light spotting and baby is healthy and right on time. Heartbeat looks good.  We talked a lot about genetic counseling which has me a bit uneasy. 2 of my children have Type 1 diabeties which, in their cases, is caused by a genetic autoimmune disease from their father. One of them has Downs Syndrome. This again, in her case, is genentic. All the same father for my first 3 - but NOT daddy to baby in my tummy right now. But I'm still supposed to get lots (and lots...) of screening tests done. I have 4 appointments in the next month including, possibly, an amnio which I am not sure I want to do yet. The amnio would be to test for chromosone issues. Still, that aside, I'm relieved baby is where he/she should be, growing and little heart beating.  |
