I am due 12/16, and have a daughter who is also a December baby, her birthday is 12/17!! LOL! We love having Christmas babies. What better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, then to have your own little miracle being born at the same time? I love it!

Honestly, I wanted to avoid having a December baby simply because my DH's birthday is 12/19 (my due date!) and my DD's birthday is 1/17. DH has always said he didn't like having his birthday so close to Christmas because they both got lumped in together. Since we have been together, I have made sure to always keep his birthday as a separate celebration to Christmas (and actually, I get better deals on birthday presents because it's so close to the holidays!). With all that being said, I am absolutely ECSTATIC to be having a December baby!!!

I'm having a Christmas baby. I think most people just think about the financial part... such as buying b-day and x-mas gifts at the same time. But, you have all year to start buying gifts. Also I think people think it gets too hectic when you are trying to have a birthday party and Christmas at the same time, but honestly why not just do both? Everyone is already together, and I think it's much easier. I'm exicted either way, it's the best gift I could ask for

Wellll.... my first due 27th dec came 31st dec and tbh love her date!! (she wasnt planned)
my second ended up being due 4th of dec, i totally expected to not go over a week... well i did she arrived 13th dec (funky huh? lol)
Maybe third is due 14th dec lmaooo (chances are will come 23rd just to follow the 3s)

If anything buying presents is fantastic everywhere has deals on leading up to xmas can gey alot for money vs now for example.

Personally love the the busyness of december, love the excitiment, even better thay OH has time off that dont come out his holiday.
what we do is have holiday 6 month later as "present"

Well, I had a christmas baby and I loved it. He got two gifts last year, one on the birthday and one on christmas day, we promised we would not do the whole 'one big one' for him.

To me, I think everyone makes too much of a big deal about it. There is no difference between him and my other two in terms of the birthdays (although they are easter and halloween birthdays ). When he is at school I figured he can have his party before the school breaks up, no problem and then a family time birthday, day.

Well our little christmas miracle is due to a broken condom! We didnt want an xmas baby, we had been planning to start trying from next month. But I am coming around to the idea and think as long as people can keep things separate it would be fine, although, xmas is a magical time of year and most people are happy and excited, if just for having a couple of days off!
xxx

My husband wanted a December baby because his birthday is in December. He is very adamant that they will have a birthday party AND Christmas.

I was a December baby 29/12 and our baby is due 13/12!
Always begrudged a christmas birthday when I was younger as I used to get Birthday presents under the christmas tree wrapped in Christmas paper! That or joint presents.
Now it does not bother me and I will make damn sure my baby has a birthday with no christmas paper in sight!
Oh and extremely happy as we live in sunnier climates so he/she will be born into perfect weather as its cooler in Dec!
Congratulations on your pregnancy Jessica!!

I'm due Christmas eve but like others have said, really domt mind. I'll still make their bdays special, although it will be hard having parties on their birthday.

After nearly 2years ttc I wasn't going to stop anytime until I got a positive!

One positive for us: with so many people avoiding December/Christmas babies there should be lots of midwives and quiet maternity units! Lol
