So, when I record my temps, I record them in Fertility Friend as well as TCOYF... I know, I know.. I just do it in TCOYF because I read the book, so I was curious if it would show things the same as FF. Sooo, today when I input my temperature (which happens to be higher again, making me think that MAYBE ovulation is finally on the way) it says I'm pregnant! lol... I don't think so. 18 days ago when my temp rose, I thought I ovulated, as it stayed up, but then after about 5 or 6 days it went down again (I think the rise in temp was due to a bad cold), and since has been going up and down above and below the cover line. Anyways... I'm still going with the fact that I haven't ovulated yet and the original rise in temperatures is due to my cold. Besides that, my temperatures never go up and down once I have ovulated... they usually stay up, high.
Interesting puppy! Did that happen in both FF and TCOYF, or just the latter?
I'm at the doctors office with a horrible rash on my arm. Idk where it came from. It was there yesterday morning when I woke up but it was small. Then it kept spreading and spreading and now it's started on my other arm. I've taken Benadryl religiously and applied hydrocortisone cream. No relief. The only thing that helps is putting an ice pack on it. So I'm at the doctor to try and get rid of it. Plus if I don't get rid of it I will be in a horrible mood as I can't sleep unless the ice pack is applied. It's a nightmare.
Hi ladies just a quick check in before I head off to finish packing and then for an early night - we're going on our jollies tomorrow! Hoping for some sun as it has been raining here for weeks! Thanks Jess for moving us over, hope your rash is better soon.
See you all in a week! Xx
Jess - only saying that in TCOYF. In FF, it took away my O day a while ago, which is making me wonder why TCOYF didn't do the same. Oh well! I'll just wait and see, as usual! I hope you get that rash figured out soon - that would be irritating for sure.
My goodness, no one is having a very good couple of days! Except Mrs. Peanut -- enjoy that vacation and bring the sunscreen!!!
Jess - I'm thrilled to hear that TTC feels "right" to you this month Sorry about the rash though - sounds like a contact dermatits, might need a stronger steroid cream or some oral steroids (good luck sleeping with those...they make you hyper!). I hope it's nothing more serious.
Puppy - lordy, I'd be crazy confused as well! It's amazing you're not peeing on some sort of stick every day, I would be!!
Baby - sorry to hear you're under the weather, Summertime colds are the worst because you can't just snuggle up next to the fire and read when it is so nice out!
I've had a rough time as well...DH is still on his "bromantic vacation" in Bermuda....last night he and a few friends rented motorized scooters and he got into a bad accident. He took a corner too fast (I presume), hit the curb, was thrown off the bike and went headfirst into a tree. He was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with a concussion and vertebral fracture in his neck. Thankfully the specialist saw him today and said he won't need surgery, so he was released from the hospital with a neck brace (which he'll likely have to wear for 6-12 weeks) and instructions to rest. I've spoken to him on the phone a few times and he is definitely more lucid than he was last night, so I think the concussion might not be as bad as originally thought (he still can't remember anything about the accident). The fact is, he really should have been hurt much worse, and were it not for his helmet, he'd be dead. After a very worrisome night and morning, I'm now just feeling so incredibly grateful and lucky that he is okay and we will be together again when he gets home on Thursday. I've arranged for his work schedule to be cleared and will be getting him an appointment for a second opinion with a spine specialist as soon as possible, but luckily I've seen these types of neck fractures a lot (part of my training was at a high level trauma center) and they rarely need surgery. He's going to hate life for a while though and will be quite restricted on his activities - he has a lot of physiotherapy in his future.
He said he spent most of the night in the hospital just thinking and crying a ton...I think he really had a wake-up about his own mortality and needing to be around for our family. He can be a bit of a free spirit and risk-taker so perhaps this was the way he was meant to learn that lesson.
I just want him home and in my care! That's the hardest part!
Gen - trust me, I have been peeing on quite a few sticks... haha. None today though - may do a pregnancy in the morning just for the heck of it!
But, forget about me, you poor woman! It's stressful enough having an injured family member when they're close to you, nevermind a plane ride away. I feel for you and your DH, and you're both in my thoughts. I hope his flight home is uneventful, so you can have him home to take care of. Definitely have to be careful with an injury like that - as you are very well aware. Best wishes, and keep us posted on his progress.
Oh my gosh Jen! I'm so sorry. I really hope your husband will be ok, but luckily it sounds like he will. Especially after he gets home and you can take care of him. I bet he can't wait to come home as well. I'm glad that he is ok and I'm glad hes thinking of ways to change so he can be around for a long time.
Also, Jen, do you know if I'm ok to TTC while on a Medrol dose pack? I think I will O about 1-3 days after my last dose.
