Hiya. Had my mw appointment today. All was good and I'm measuring 26cm today. I'm not concerned though as the mw seemed happy enough and I was more surprised that the last one put me ahead last time. She told me 25 but put 24 in my notes.

My blood results should be back by Monday at the latest, so I'll keep you posted.

How's everyone else? Xx

Mine told me I was measuring 27 but I reckon it was 25 or 26. Nothing to worry about if within 3cm anyway so thats good that yours was 26. Glad your app went well. I got a phonecall today to say my bloods came back and Im still anaemic so need to go back on the iron tablets. Glucose came back high too but they said its likely because I ate an hour before. Might need to get more bloods done later on. Ive put on 2 and a half stone already!

Bought my buggy today (Mothercare My choice 3) and bought a new washing machine as ours, despite being only 3 years old, is crap so I bit the bullet and bought a new one as I reckon Ill need a good one for doing all those washings that people keep telling me Ill have to do!!

x

So I had my glucose today, I apparently "failed" with a score of 135, have to go back in a week and be a human pincushion!

Why is it that some places 135 is considered failing and in other places it's considered passing??

Also the midwife office didn't bother telling me that I should eat 150-200 g of carbs 2-3 days before the appointment. I keep reading it everywhere. I'm seriously going to call them tomorrow and demand if there is any other information that they aren't bothering to tell me.

I don't get a glucose test either. Apparently I would have been told after ther booking in bloods if I needed one. Sorry to hear that the SPD is causing you so many problems. Would a bit of light swimming ease the pressure for you? Yesterday was the first time I experienced any back pain. I really feel for all of you struggling on a daily basis.

Still have a stinky cold so wrking from home again. I did manage to get to the supermarket yesterday and made a few hospital bag purchases. Any idea just how many maternity pads we need to buy? They are so huge that my going home outfit will have to be a dress. There's no way I could still manage to do a pair of jeans up with one of them in my knickers!!

I got a pack of a couple dozen - figure OH can buy me more if I need them, and I'm packing two pairs of pyjama bottoms for the hospital and coming home. Our relatives are not going to see us till after we're home, and honestly I don't give a crap if anyone sees me in pjs!

Notnic, sorry your have the cold and hope it clears up soon.
Mrs.C hope your SPD clears soon. When are you getting your belly tubigrip?
The glucose test is fairly standard in US I think but not here (thankfully)
Notnic, there was a thread about maternity pads the other day and most ladies said to buy a minimum of 3 boxes as you go through them at a mega rate (something else for us to look forward to eh!!) I reckon Ill come home in baggy p.j bottoms or joggers. Im sure I wont give a toss what I look like and will just be going straight from hospital home (we have no neighbours so noone will see me apart from OH and he is used to me looking like shit these days! lol) x

Thanks hun well not sure about swimming as opening your legs makes it much worse lol for example walking, climbling stairs, getting in/out bed.
plus i couldn't go swimming i get so self concience with the stretch marks and cellulight lol. but i have a bath to try ease it it helps whilst im in the bath but once im out the bath its sore again.

i find it scary doing hospital bag lol just cos its not long away lol but exiting, i'll prob start buying that stuff about 34weeks. (which is only 6weeks away ) we are talking of moving house in the next couple of weeks which im dreading at 30-31weeks pregnant.

28 weeks for us tomorrow

Hi girls!

I'm 27 weeks today!

I am feeling good, got to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time and recorded it on my phone for husband. We have a 4d scan on Saturday! Can't wait! And a growth scan on Monday because I had hbp with my last pregnancy. Having appts every two weeks to check blood pressure and fingers crossed so far so good!

Hope you are all doing great xx
