Any Hope for me????

Hi all

Do you think there is any hope for my pregnancy being viable???

Briefly,I m today 7 weeks pregnant, age 44,and last scan was Tuesday, under the care of epau due to left sided pain. Anyway they can ony still see the pregnancy sak,no yolk sac,no baby. The sonographer did say though there were echoes from the sak??? Still cannot rule out ectopic, but I don't have the pain very often now. She says though that the sak only measures 4-5 weeks, doesn't sound too good to me.

Had slight pinky discharge on Monday but nothing since and it was hardly anything.

Anyway they still early pregnancy, have to wait until week on Friday now for another scan.

Going out of my mind here, but I am expecting the worse.

Anyone had a similar experience where it all worked out?

Still have all pregnancy symptoms and my last bloods a week ago were over 4000 hcg.

Thanks for reading, good luck to you all.

xxxxxx

Although I don't have any experience with this, I just wanted to say welcome and send best wishes your way. I can imagine it is going to be a hard week having to wait, but try and stay positive and relax (easier said than done I know). Hugs

I don't see why you would not hope!

Very early scans are notoriously fickle. So many women have them and get what is potentially bad news, only to find out a few weeks later that all is well.

Try and stay positive. You have the symptoms and the numbers. Hang in there!

Yes I know you are right, its difficult, but really trying to be positive. I think sometimes these early scans cause more harm than good. Having bad day today, just got to wait it out and pray next Friday its good news, thanks for comments appreciated. xx

I agree, you had a little bleeding which has stopped. Early scans like this I agree are very difficult. Sometimes even a few days can make a dramatic difference in terms of what the sonographer can see. When is your next scan?
Hoping that everything is ok for you.

I will be very honest and hope it doesn't come across as negative. Like you, I am 44. Egg sak with no pole is how 2 of my 3 miscarriages started. I do however know that 9 weeks is often needed to make an accurate judgment.

I wish you all the best and have been in your shoes 4 times on the way to getting the baby I gave birth to in November at the age of 44. Yes there were 3 losses, but one was a "go." Best news of all, you conceived! Best wishes for a wonderful outcome!
