I've got food poisoning. :(

All the rules about not eating this and not eating that.... We went to this new Mexican restaraunt last night La Rumba and sure enough we BOTH got food poisoning. I am on the couch aching. I have shit my brains out and I am so nauseated. I called my doctor and she said that if I have fever or feel dehydrated to go to the ER.

Anyone ever had food poisoning? Much less food poisoning while pregnant??

What can help me??

I had Enchiladas Supreme. It was 4 enchiladas (bean, chicken, beef, cheese) Topped with cheese and lettuce and tomatoes and sour cream. OH had some burrito thing. I have heard from a friend that people on FB today have been saying don't go there cause you may get food poisoning. Wish I would have known. It sucks. I feel like hell.

I just got over having food posioning like a week ago, it is really no fun, especailly when you are pregnant. Because I literally had something coming out of both ends (TMI i know but its important) they recommended me taking Ammodium AD which is a anti-dihheretic. Then once you are able to get that down just nibble on ice chips till you feel stong enough to keep down other substances ( I really could not eat the whole day I had food posioning, let alone drink). Water will be your best friend, because sometimes your body won't even let you drink anything else. It should most likely pass within 24 hours.

I know how you feel though, I got mine from eating cheesecake from a local bakery. Needless to say I am offically afraid of cheesecake now. I hope you feel better soon!!!!

I've had food poisoning before - it's awful. Hang in there. Try a clear soda - 7up, Sprite, etc, if water doesn't sound good. The most important thing is to get some sort of liquid. Usually the first solid food I can eat is a banana. Good luck, sweetie. It'll pass.

My doctor said DO NOT take anything like Immodium. She said the bad stuff needs to come out. Funny how different doctors tell you different stuff. I got me some Gatorade and have been able to drink about 1/4 of it without losing any of it (yet).

I just feel so ill. Ugh!!

Thank you for the response.

I had food poisoning before when I was about 25 weeks pregnant. They told me the same thing about not coming in unless I get dehydrated. I was puking alot. I got it from a premade salad from papa murphys. I remember my son was kicking me when I puked...

Yes Jack is very active throughout it all. I can't help but feel bad for him. Although my doctor said food poisoning doesn't pass through the placenta. I hope he doesn't feel sick like me.
